c0r version - cop parks car in bike lane, cyclist go out of bike lane to go around car, cop flags cyclist down for going outside of the bike lane, cyclist fined $130, city then profits
Also note there are some brand spanking new laws for cyclist where you will now be given a citation and fine if you do not abide by these laws.
- Cycling speed limit is now 30 MPH max!
- Cyclist must have hands on steering device, no coasting without steering
- No bike riding in any parks, you must push your bicycle to the designated biking area. Subject to citation/fine.
- Bike riding on sidewalk is subject to citation/fine AND/OR confiscation of bicycle. (no one is taking my $5k bicycle)
- Must bike on the right side of the street at all times unless otherwise noted by bike lane.
Now if you ask me, with the new installation of all these new bike lanes all over the city, we're seeing more and more rules and laws. To some extent there needs to be regulation, but this...this is just a waste of tax paying money. We'll be paying cops to police bike paths now, shouldn't we have them focus on street crimes, robberies, murders, drug pedaling, or maybe...

i met a guy once who got a summons for that
he ripped it up and didnt care
a few weeks later he was fighting with his girlfriend and the cops ran his name...turns out he had a warrent for his arrest for that unpaid ticket and had to spend the night in central booking, all over a $15.00 ticket
i suggest if you get it just pay it cause its not worth it in the long run |

I'm a big fan of road cycling and mountain biking, but city riders are ing annoying. Especially in Manhattan.
They constantly bolt through intersections and ignore lights and crosswalks. I shouldn't have to look out for some dude on a bike going 25mph when I'm walking across the street at a red light. |

its not even safe to walk anymore....every day ill patiently wait for the bright little white guy to tell me i can cross the street...ill start going adn WHAM! someones pizza is more important...
flying through the middle of the street at like 90 gazillion miles per hour and not one thought to slow down or try to avoid me.
im a big target so i know those f'ers see me
as for the laws ect....yeah i agree seems a little much...i say survival of the fittest. if you cant use common sense enough to stay alive then you deserve a melon on your forehead |

| Well, knock on wood I dont get a ticket. If I get stopped I will just show the officer my fl license and say I just moved lol. I knew being too lazy to change it to NY would benefit someday! Lol |
