Would this make Tiësto a copycat?

I checked out some old tracks today and I came across Bang E.P. - Humantek. This is quite an old one, but I noticed Tiëstos Flight 643 has a sample of the Bang EP track in it. I might be wrong, I'll check it again later. Maybe someone already came to this conclusion?
let me know,

yeah, I just checked it, and the sound Tiësto used for his Flight 643 can be found in this Bang E.P. - Humantek.
What does everyone think bout this?

make tiesto a copycat? i wouldn't go that far...artists great and small use audio samples from older trackz every once and a while. in my opinion as long as it gives the new track a different feel then the older one, i wouldn't call that artist a copycat. :D sharing is a good thing.

okay, just for the record: Tiësto didnt like, completely copy the track, he only used the same sound and a sample of this Humantek track might be found back in his flight 643. Try and download Bang EP - Humantek, see for yourselves.

Ok, I just got that song. I wouldn't say that Tiesto is coping, I'd say that he was influenced by this track but he didn't copy it. Anyway, about the song: do u know when it came out? Because it sounds pretty old.

Well Bang EP came out in the year 2000,but I donno exactly when

yeah artists use samples all the time from other tunes.. just u hardly notice them coz they sound different combined with other soundz. e.g. Moonman - Galaxia for instance has the drumz from Corvin Dalek - Pounds & Penz (Flatners Deutsche Mark Mix) which came out before that but they are off half a beat so the emphasis makes it sound a bit different :)

i dont like sample producers, i need to hear original stuff :/

I've got another example:

Svenson & Gielen - Beauty Of Silence
&
CJ Stone - Shining Star (Original Club Mix)

I'm sure CJ Stone must have had Beauty Of Silence stuck in his head when he made his tune. It uses the same build ups and almost the same pauses and synth usage as Svenson & Gielen's Tune.

Have a listen for yourself, you'll know what I mean...

No, it wouldn't make him a "copycat"

Steve :D

arturob
vincent de moor - shamu (armin remix) sounds identically to push - strange world (2000 remake)

anyone agree?
mizzuno
Well if I follow your line of thinking...cass and slide is copying sasha's expander with perception....Now what?
