I actually really enjoyed Oakenfold's set the last time he was at Guv. I didn't have a single complaint about it. Good track selection, flow, and mixing was just fine. In fact, his set was quite a bit better than the majority of trance dj's that get recycled through guv month after month, year after year. I for one, am very happy to see he'll be back :)

You mean Tiesto lol

Oakenfold's Goa Mix is a very legendary and quite amazing mix. It was very influential for many people in late 1990s.
I actually own the original, it was released in very limited numbers on CD!!! Back then I paid 30 quid for it, now it worth 3-5 times that price at the minimum!

Nothing beats the original :) EDIT: The new version has slightly longer versions for a few songs, misses out some of the better ones from the original, and adds some new tracks to the mix. Looks awful. Astrix???? :wtf: Sacrilege!

The original:

The remake:

Too bad Karl Biscuit's Hierophone and Metalheads' Inner City Life were never released as full-length tracks, in versions that appeared on the mix. Very unfortunate. Maybe Oakenfold has the rare promo CDs with those :eyes:
The Potter
I only listened to it for the first time a couple of years ago, and it blew me away. It is an absolutely timeless piece of work, even if the DJ himself has not aged quite as well :D

They're sort of correct, as Richie did compose a track for the opening ceremonies of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino.

No, it was an 'oh snap' moment. The 'oh snap' shirt has spoken.
