I swear to god I witnessed one girl attempt to start something with some other girls. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't all of this unusual for this place?

I was there for Danny Tenaglia 2 weeks ago and the crowd was the normal friendly respectful crowd that's there for the quality house music.

Also, anyone else notice the extention to the building? What kind of renovations are going on there? They can't possibly be making the club bigger, is that office space? smoking balcony?

lawler crowd was OK also 2 weeks ago, even more passed a certain hour like 6 7am... but is the crowd usually better on a friday than a saturday?

also what about the crowd @ circus?

anyway, they really can't do a door policy like Berghain or ask people questions about the dj etc. the demand is not big enough...

I'm pretty sure its the same crowd as Steve Angello, a few hours earlier and a few blocks away. I never witnessed such a horde of pushy annoying bunch of kids... wow where did they come from. It felt like Toronto.

Friday's always a different crowd....very mixed, a lot more straight, Last night, the crowd was really young. Saturday is the Night...always has been, for me atleast. I'd have to agree with the comments made about some of the lack of respect in the club.
Lotta pushy people, kindly just say excuse me, or extend your hand to get through. That's the thing....its not a regular club...
Its the temple...I've made it a point to say something to people that were rude on purpose...we're all out for the right reason...to dance, make friends, and most of all have fun!

Like DarnessBrotha said, friday is more straight/young, saturday is 50/50 gay straight, more mature crowd.

Circus, I don't go often.. last time I went the crowd was real nice, had a blast.. nice girls too. Helps they got rid of the hip hop room, bad crowd.

Come up from Toronto as well....couple random thoughts...

Got to Stereo around 3:15, surprised to see how unorganized the front of the club was.

Their was an organized line for general admissions (even though they weren't going to get in), but for ticket holders it was basically whoever could push to the front first and be seen. Even then, if you got to the front, they alternated between letting will-call then hard copy holders in. A ticket should be a ticket, and an organized line should have been in place...

Loved the new booth layout, huge improvement and great to watch from the back levels.

Gaiser was killing it, much like in Windsor. Been a fan of his productions since Comma Fade and his live show has come a long way. Can't wait to see what he has in store for the future.....just a great sound and technical ability...

I have mixed feelings about Richie's set. I've seen him a bunch of times and tbh this was probably my least favorite set from him. He pounded it out hard right from the beginning, and the room was eating it up, but for me it lacked a bit of direction. It wasn't the type of set that built from beginning to end, just non-stop thumpers from the start, unlike Windsor where he definitely took us on a journey, and played a more minimal - thought-out & technical set that ended with some bangers and classics. I'm sure the time constraints had a lot to do with this. Regardless, definitely some great moments and as said before, the room was eating outta the palm of his hand...

Didn't stay for Layo&Bushwacka but heard they killed it.

Sound was okay, nothing outta this world & a bit wonky @ times, but more than sufficient. Smoking patio was a disaster like always. Not a fan of the lasers at all. Staff was great and freindly as usual.

The crowd was definitely not what I would consider typical for Stereo, but it was tolerable and expected considering the hype for this party.

Great seeing a bunch of TOTA's too, the Stereo pilgrimage is a definite right of passage :)

Overall a great trip and this just proved to me once again why stereo is the best experience in Canada, if not North America.

haha nope, we didn't get a chance to go upstairs. Although we were on the vip list and got in for free, the door guy made up some that we weren't vip even though everyone else we came with got the stamp. though we came a bit later then our friends cause we needed to finish up some rum, and I guess the door dude took advantage of that and denied us. apparently even some of the minus crew was denied to go upstairs.

I liked gaiser's set and energy quite a bit but richie's set didn't do much for me, I was expecting a lot more effects and four deck mixing but it pretty much just sounded like one track after another. He did play some great stuff right at the end though. Also sucked how his custom mixer caused two speakers not to be on during his set. When layo & bushwacka came on, the speakers came back on too and it was very noticeable in volume.

Also the crowd was also the most drugged out I've seen at stereo, and it was not very friendly.

Sound wasnt good for hawtin, and gaiser was pretty bad... It was pretty pushy yeh, but Hawtin played a good set...

Gonna go pass out for like 3 days...

billyboy, you make a very good point about respect.

So, I'm very curious about Patius' comment about the speakers. Patius, could you describe more what was going on with the speakers. How bad was it? Was it temporary? Which speaker(s)?

What are you going to ask him next? where every piece of gum was on the floor?

I found the gaiser set was okay but not amazing, hawtin's set was just a constant stream of badass techno, technically tight, didn't leave much room for rest at all, the time he was on really went by fast.. then layo and bushwacka came on, was kinda blown away by the huge drops they laid down, especially the more ominous and dark sounding tracks, it just felt very appropriate for the place and time.. noticed quite a lot of people stayed till the end

its true the crowd was more mainstream/out of town/shore wannabes and younger, but whatever, it could have been even sketchier, was just nice to hear some proper music, just on a side note adam beyer at stereo would be fun combo too.. oh and I actually got to talk to some TA ppl, yay!
