that's the phrase which makes me cringe every time I hear it, the for (-)'s sake is diluted by the accent here. Everyone drops off the ends of their words in the middle of the country anyways so I assume the s is missing because of their accent. When people say the I could care less, I will often respond "glad you care at least a bit" and they will give me a cockeyed blank-face in response. |
