Best time I've ever had at Footwork is your gig there in 2008 (my first time ever hearing you play). I've since seen you many times, and have never been disappointed.
You are truly one of the best. Keep it up. |

Been a while since I've heard Mr.Burridge, think the last was at BoomBoomRoom in Windsor a in 2009... but any DJ who posts in his own review thread to address and review people's comments and be funny... need to check you out again! |

First off I'm really glad I somehow managed to switch my midnight shift at work to an earlier slot and to make it to FW JUST before 1. To be honest, I wasn't hyped about seeing Lee this time at all. I struggled to get through his recent Burning Man set that's online, and in general I feel like I've been "Burridged-out" over the years. Nevertheless, I'm glad I decided to go last minute. Although it was not out-of-this-world incredible (for Lee's standards, anyways), it was still hella fun. The tempo and rhythm of the set was crafted as expertly as always, and the tunes were top quality for the most part. A few parts threw me off though. Going from a bumpy, tribally track into a slow proggy one really killed the flow he had going. Even though the prog was awesome, it felt like a different DJ came on and completely changed the direction of the set. It's just an observation though, as that didn't have any effect on my overall enjoyment of the set.
Overall good times...and Jenny's face was priceless :) The was worth the admission alone |

I find that as I've gotten older I care far less about my own expectations of a night out and more about simply being able to enjoy the night for what it is, as a whole. I really think half the fun of a set that changes directions is being able to let it take you where it's going and just ride it out, one might say :p. It's challenging in a way, which is nice. Discovering there's method to the madness is like a reward. |

| Those are the moments when you're just like OH SHI- and then your face starts melting off and all you know is you'd better just do what your body tells you to do. Haha. |

That party was awesome, but I have to say my favourite Lee @ footy set was February 23, 2008

Lol. I remember that night so well. I wasn't even going to go out because I spent 11 hours getting my hair colored for a photoshoot/hair competition the next day. I wasn't allowed to wash my hair, so I couldn't get all sweaty, and was really hoping for a more groovy, less demanding (and therefore sweaty as ) night. That's exactly what we got! :D
Seems like forever ago now! Wasn't the inflatable crocodile night in the summer of 09? |
