Apparently they have paid off all the steel-debts they had from rebuilding the country after WWII.
The only good thing to come out of the Netherlands was Geert Wilders anyway. |

Holland has one of the lowest weed smoking rates in Europe apparently. Just goes to show that making stuff legal can have good effects. |

I heard that the crime rate in The Netherlands was really low because it's so flat - you can see the crooks coming from miles away.
That has nothing to do with weed though.

| well the ID concept doesn't work unless all the shops actually care to inspect the ID and it has to be difficult to copy. you'd probably have to setup a scan system with every native person in a system and every shop would need a scan box. if not then it becomes fake ID frenzy like alcohol here in the US. |

How would tourists know where to get a fake ID from though? Sure, the local might be able to get one, but they have no need of one.
A few tourists might manage to get one, but I think most wouldn't. |

| I'm not a law specialist but what I remember from my law courses is that a member of the EU cannot make law where other EU countries citizens are discriminated. |
