It would suck majorly if he didn't show. Then my conspiracy theories will be confirmed. Yeah I'm 'in' as well, unless Knox is bitchy to not put me on the roll call list. Someone should be a scout and head to TiL early on Fri. To see if Sasha will come. Oh yeah I think it's completely ridiculous that they won't have the top section open. I was already thinking it was gonna be acluster with that section open, but now who knows.
He owes t.o more than a 3 hour set after the nonsense pulled 2wice already |

I might be tempted to call the club before even heading out the door to see if he's even going to spin. I don't know his history with Toronto but if everyone is saying there's a chance he might not even show I'd rather know before I spend an hour getting down there. |

He cancelled in April of 08..him and Digweed were gonna spin in the Kool Haus. T.o has not seen this pairing since 2002 and now they do only one off shows. He cancelled again in Nov 09 at guv as part of a solo set. I shouldn't say he cancelled but he def. didnt come especially when the next day he played in Miami and before in NYC which makes it more irritating.
3rd time may be a charm...thx knox for adding me on the list. |

I would think Saturday would be more of a wild card
than a Friday night. He'll show. What mischeif could
he possibley have been into on a Thursday?
Would love to see Sasha again. He's kind of lost me
the last few years with his musical direction (a little
too minimal for me) but club sound usually makes the
music come to life and I'm certain his music is best
served in a small room. Anyone who manages to get in
(bring lots of money) will be in for a treat.
Too bad the scene has changed so much, it used to be
that the dj decided when he was done and the night was
over. I remember him and digweed playing the guv till noon
back on Canada day in I beleive 98. Now it's 2-3 hours...hmmm |

It would make sense that nowadays the club would prefer to shut down earlier rather than later b/c of how it's a LOT more popular. They'd rather have people come, have a decent time for a few hrs then go home early/let the club close shop at a 'decent' time. I miss the good old days. I remember seeing Ferry Corsten drop an 8 hr set a few times...doubt we'd ever see any regular 'big name' djs do that anymore.
I'd say that more so than letting the dj keep playing mostly because the scene then was a lot more fresh/new and there were no issues abot playing until the dj is finished back then... |
