The film was actually shot in Dallas, because the real Detroit didn't have any suitably futuristic hi-rise buildings. |
Re-rea-really!? :( |

| Great read. Veered into an accurate critique of the Reagan Era, at times, but maintained its point, throughout. Nice work. |

The film is an accurate critique of the Reagan era, and you can't discuss one without the other. |

I suppose not.
I recently watched Public Speaking which is a documentary about Fran Lebowits and that's partly why I made mention of that aspect in your piece, in the first place. |

Did you submit this in a hurry?

Nothing else "constructive" to add, as I've never seen the movie. :p |

I submitted it months ago, and at least one editor looked over it before it went up. I humbly place all responsibility for minor typos on him. |

I'm not sure I can say I've "seen" it: I just saw random scenes when I was a kid. As a matter of fact, all I remember is the crack-heads injecting fluorescent fluids in their necks and a liquid robot recombining droplets of metallic blood/material/bodystuffs and rebuilding itself after it was frozen with nitrogen and then blasted by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And Arnold Schwarzenegger was a Mexican robot. |
