I've been massively busy this month and only just managed to find a couple of hours to record this months mix. As a result this is a bit of a Saturday afternoon meander through my record collection, which seems to be quite autumnal in mood. Taking in some brand new tracks from Laurent Garnier & Mauro Picotto as well as some stone cold classics. Straight after recording this I was heading up to the Royal Festival Hall to see Underworld perform dubnobasswithmyheadman in full so couldn't resist finishing on the Lemon Interupt version of Dirty.

This month has been somewhat hectic again and I only just managed to squeeze in a couple of hours to record this. Wintery vibes going on here, starting with some spacey progressive moving through into some tracey/techtrance/techno type goodness. Gets pretty banging towards the end before moving back down to some chilled prog breaks to finish on. Enjoy!

Hey man, congrats on the dadship! I know that's a big step in life. I'm getting married in 5 months so my life is getting crazy too. Being adults and :wtf:
Anyway, I can tell you have been dying to let out all that steam and it shows in this mix. Like all this tension you have built up, scratching the itch of playing music and spinning records that you haven't scratched in a while. Mix was fantastic, mate. Not your occasional hodgepodge of random tracks that you sometimes have in this series. This one you just banged out because it seems that you needed to. That's the mark of a great DJ, when the love of the music always haunts you and it's therapeutic to mix a set after a long hiatus.
As for the music, I didn't like Robosapiens - Ravetard but everything else was on point. I'll get back on the decks later this year or next year! |

Well once a month didnt happen (SoundCloud reliably informs me its been 8 months since the last I Like This) but whats a few months between friends eh? Luckily over the weekend a had a few hours to retire to the outbuilding and crank up the speakers, and this is the result. The last few mixes I've put out have been rather more at the banging end of the spectrum (including a promo mix for the Echo 17th Birthday Boat Party which shall be released soon) so I wanted to do something a bit more chunk, funk and groove. | Brilliant set, Dave! To me it's not even really just a random collection of tracks you have enjoyed lately, but more of a syndicated mix with perfect flow and mixing! I listened to it on a run this morning and really enjoyed the progression. I really loved the two acid house tracks you hammered out, and the last tune was amazing. Well done, man! Hope the wife and kids are doing well! |
