"OMG, Circa is gonna crush everyone, it's gonna kill GUV abd only "Peter Gatien" is gonna be able to pull this off"

CiRCA went so bankrupt that they had to sell old ticket stubs to Guv (I took this last night @ Andy C)

It was Destiny who re-used those tickets, nothing to do w/ Guv
Big Boss
The Ballroom was such an underutilized room. What a perfect layout for DJ driven events.

i only went there 3 times and never like circa the place is way to big always lose my friends lol
cell never work in there for some reason hated the crowd saturday nights 20 year old
punks-ginos thinking they owned the club and wanted to fight everyone etc etc,
Peter Gatien is a fool thinking that he can open a club like circa in toronto that may work in nyc
does not mean it will work in toronto especially the area you decided to open this place there is
10 if not more clubs in the area the first two months circa was packed after that it died out
if you guys get a chance watch this episode of American Justice - Dancing Drugs and Murder

I've only been there three times. The first and second were for Tiesto and Carl Cox, in that order. Both times the place was rammed to the hilt, from top to bottom. Everything about the place impressed me and I had a great time on both occasions. I didn't mind that it was three floors, and like the Guv, I liked the many rooms. There was something different around every corner. I told my kids about the moving rabbits on the second floor behind the bar and vowed that I'd get my camcorder in to video them and show the family somehow.
I got my chance the third time I went, this time for Lawler. I managed to get permission and a couple of wristbands for all access. The video went well and so did the night. Problem was, half of the second floor was closed and so was the third. No recording rabbits liked I wanted too. The other half of the second floor was VIP only, but it didn't matter since I had the wristbands.
I was really disappointed that it wasn't the same experience as in the first two times, and I was really looking forward to it. I knew there was something wrong since half the club was closed. I figured it was the beginning of the end.
Too bad.

Did anyone actually READ the entire thing? lol. People saying it was a complete flop and didn't make any money, blah blah.
It was almost at capacity many of the nights and would have been making 20% margins. The biggest problem was that Gatien had problems in the U.S. for tax problems before hand, he actually went to jail and was deported back here. To make this club happen he had to get some huge loans, and because of his background, instead of getting 5% interest on some loans like someone with a good credit background would get, he had 36% on the loans. The interest on the loans is what killed the club, after that it was just a domino effect with other bills and created a hole they couldn't possibly get out of.

I don't think anybody is contesting that...

Reading some of the posts, I think they are--they think the club on its own was its downfall (ie. Coxx's post). Whereas Playa24_7 is stating that if the baggage hadn't accompanied it (ie, bad credit, high interest) then the club would still be going strong today on its own merits. It's a good point.

LOL, it's the bunny-go-round! That's one of the tings I wanted to record. The other was the bunny-choo-choo. Those rabbits traveling in a straight line looping over and over. Too cute!
