A lot of artists will be in the US for Ultra Fest in Miami the following weekend. Possible artist tours in the west coast the previous week? Above&Beyond will already be in Miami on the 24th for the Anjunabeats event & Armin announced that Ferry will be part of the ASOT 500 lineup.

I'm not a promoter so I don't how the best way to put on events but wouldn't you want to announce the full line up as early as possible to hopefully get a lot of ticket sales early on so you kind of know how much money the event will make? By not releasing the line up, you still get some of the people that will buy tickets no matter what, but wouldn't you still get those people if you did announce the whole line up? The long absence of info doesn't make sense to me, but maybe that's why I'm not a promoter ;)

The easiest answer is that they don't have the lineup ready yet. Even if they have agreements with the main acts there is a lot of politics w/r/t how they're getting billed on fliers, stages/timeslots, etc. This can take time to work out. Admittedly, I have no idea if thats what's going on here, but those are the reasons that were given to me when skills was taking its sweet time with a lineup for one of their shows a while back.

Also, delaying the lineup announcement works really well for getting a bunch of free promo on forums cause everyone bumps the thread looking for new lineup info, lol.

i also agree that they don't have the lineup confirmed which is why they are delaying it. it's possible that due to the recent issues with raves here in so.cal, a lot of the agencies aren't giving the green lights for their dj's to play at so.cal massives.

my 2 cents
