Go listen to some more Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith, or Gary Lucas. There is a lot of uninspired guitarists because it's so accessible and easy to learn a few chords later in life and pray for a successful music career. Piano is a lot harder to play something that sounds decent on it so not as many people choose it. If you're good you're good, if you're bad you're bad. It's not instrument specific. Guitar has its place just like violin, guitar, piano, and saxophone all have their's. Nick Drake
