I've made a lot of alterations and made the break now.

In first post.

Ed - I'll check the track you posted once my secretary goes home (not professional to play in noffice right now).

I like it

Not something i'd usually listen to but it has it's 'ting alright.

I'm not a huge fan of the main vocal and I think it would serve it's purpose better being used far more sparingly than it is now. The vocal at 2.37 is a much better hook imo.

Mate your'e being very kind as I fully realise this is very cheesey and dare I say commercial oriented, but it's just fun for us right now.

The vocals you like is just me screaming - I got myself in a camp divine mood to do them.

I have been thinking of using those spoken vox less, but I dunno, I have in mind your weekend clubber in a provincial town, or a pole dancing club for this and think it may need those constant vox. Think dirty fat businessmen mouthing the words as the gawp at pole dancers.

Well to my ears your gay screaming works much better, and chopped up and ed about with would serve your stated purpose splendidly. The current deep vocal would work brilliantly post drop.

A guy clearly into women and their objectification isn't going to want to hear a guy sing. It is clearly campy and gay. ANd you can't label something commercial if it won't sell which this turd obviously won't. This is underground gay techno for dirty steal worker styled homos wearing leather chaps. ANyone under the age of 30 whether gay or not will also find this too gay. Ever notice how they love girl singers not they typically don't like males ?

your achilles heal is your incredibly out of touch bad taste. What you think is good is manure and I'm not sure how to really go about it. Production you can work on but acquiring taste is something that just seems to happen.

We think bad taste, sluts and shehe biwhores are in vogue. In fact I'm wondering which Divine track to give the treatment - any suggestions welcome.

Amen!

In case you are wondering which abomination of a track spawned this work here it is.

I know this needs some work but figured I would hit you with it. It needs development after the drop, this I know and working on it.

Personally I think Rich has done a mighty fine remix and given it a twist that I couldn't have come up with myself so full marks for that one.

Cheers

Mise
just check it:

Sound, mixing seems ok. There is groove. I think the track could benefit much more from another arrangement, but thats only imo. For example, I would alternate some bars of the 0:40,(there is no main bass) with parts of 1:20. This would make much more contrast.

On the other hand, The disco synth (0:44) playing with the bass melody, I dunno if its working. There is too much drive been carried by the upper freqs and lower freqs.
I personally would work, arranging the first kick with no bass structure, with a moving bass, and some vocals, no so many. I konw you want to keep the disco vibe, but kind of mashing disco with deep house vibe, is like mixing icecream with beef..

This is this BERLIN UNDERGROUND style I was talking about, more techno version then Richard and more heavy - but I really like his take on - My vote is in, check SC please.
