Ok so there is no boobies so I'm sorry...

However it is really important for my paper that I do this research so all I need for now is 3 words!

What are your 3 top things you do/use in your production of trance

For example

Mine are

EQ,Minor second harmonies,Compression - For example

I will try to find out what you might mean by what you say in a few weeks but for now I just need to say 20 people said compressors so they are in 12 said arrangement so trance arrangement is in....

Please help... and sorry about the false booby promise

for example or is it really? if those are your real most important aspects your s out of luck.

Mine:
1: Enjoy what you are doing!!!
2: Complete tracks, move on.
3: Be careful who you take advice from.

I dont wont to be rude, but sorry this looks nonsense to me, trying to approach music from a scientific view, but ok lets go ahead. I use everything wherever I think it might help.

Minor third?

I don't produce much trance, but I'll go with:

Female vocals
Synths
Drum samples

Without these, there's nothing to EQ, compress, limit, etc.

You lost a lot of potential readers with this first sentence, should have kept it for the end of the topic.

3 most important questions I ask myself when I made trance

1. Will asians like this ?
2. How many E's would I need to make this track danceable. Ideally 1.
3. Does the bass and rhythm have enough movement to really get those asians with their glow sticks pumped up.

So you're trying to get at the three top things generally, which we'd apply to other genres as well? Or the three top things we do when specifically working on trance?

If we're talking in general terms:

1) composition
2) sound selection
3) level setting

(That's just off the top of my head. I could be missing an important step...)

Rodri Santos
ok now seriously for me what makes a track a good or a bad one is:

1.- Good Melody / Groove
2.- Sound Selection
3.- Mixdown and Mastering.
