Kenny Rogers
could you keep it in the random thread? thanks..

Well sir, I really really really like this track. All the sounds can be heard distinctly and the progression if ing great. i love the atmosphere and the synths you used. sick bassline. BUT, i do agree with your original statement, that you may have lost objective. this song does sound like it could go on forever. but your the only one that can judge if you have lost objective or not. Great track tho man I would love to here the original. what program you use?
Dj_Kile
random , I've been away for a while , good to know , but why put it there , this is not random , it's a spot on production related , or is it!
Kenny Rogers
im not sure everyone agrees though but work in progress threads messes this place up, therefore i made a random thread for such things. i dont really decide though but thought it would keep things cleaner around here. http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=585646

thanks man for the kind words ...
It's Ableton , the only daw for me ...
About the original , it's way different , kinda of re-invented the whole thing , but i do prefer not to say because it was clear they didn't want any work in progress to be shared .. so
Kenny Rogers
if its almost finished then you could maybe put it in the promotion forum.
Dj_Kile
dude , if it is finished i can't share it , label policies
Besides , i think those kind of threads for work in progress are stuff that can benefit a lot for everyone involved , it's like theory in action
Kenny Rogers
if you wonder about how to make a certain sound then its probably ok to keep it here, but work in progress/almost finished stuff isnt really welcome other than in the random thread. we had flooding of people posting random unfinished stuff destroying the whole forum resulting in experienced regulars leaving because the whole place got . we dont want more of that. but its not really up to me im just saying what i think to try to help keeping this forum better. a couple of threads isnt a problem but when everyone starts doing it, the good threads get drowned.

btw label politics are bull, u can stream your track from soundcloud if u want.

edit: im not trying to be a dick btw, your track sounded pretty cool. hopefully diginuts gonna be more specific about what to do about WIPs soon. here or in the promotion forum.

no problem , if you want specific , actually what i really want to get feedback on is the part when it comes out of the main break around 6:54
this is were i'm getting frustrated ...

This is random because you randomly placed it in the production studio where it obviously doesn't belong. Not to mention you didn't even ask a single question which makes it seem that much more random.
"Here's a track guys, I'm lost"... ummm so what do you want then? You also said "no particular points that worry me"... except that you have no idea where the track is going and either do we. So that sounds like a particular point to worry about.

As far as the track it has a simple/decent intro but I honestly don't like the progression myself. Too many familiar/predictable sounds, it moves kinda slow, and it doesn't really seem to engage me at any specific point. I like the idea and concept, but theres nothing really 'special' to gel it together or give direction. If it was me I would just scrap it and start something new. Or redo your bassline, change the melody, and make it go somewhere interesting. Anytime I get stuck I usually go on youtube and listen to random tracks for 30mins, if I'm still stuck at that point I usually just trash it. G/luck whatever you do.
Mad for Brad
I'm sure Robbie will agree but for what it is worth , do not take his advice on finding inspiration to finish tracks. He doesn't really have a good track record of finishing things. How many years has it been ? I think you said 2 years if memory serves me correct.

Would you prefer mixing advice or arrangement advice. Or sex advice like how to rape someone and get away with it. Or 3 easy ways to get a girl unconscious. Or my favourite, 5 things you can do in bed that will leave the girl with an unshakeable feeling of shame guilt and overall lower self conscious. Just kidding about the last one of the 3 sex tips, thats just cruel and being cruel is not cool.
