Dragon Rising is , even for $3. Get ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead (the Combined Ops version with the original ArmA2).
Add in the ACE mod and you can do very realistic sniper/spotter missions.
Obviously the windage and the distance can be done by a spotter, this guy was doing it by himself (slower).
I have played with people that do real sniper spotter techniques and its very exciting. They can put a round in a target in 15-20 seconds from 500-750 meters easily.

ArmA2's mission editor is by and away one of the best in any game. Very easy to use, very easy to script for.
Skip about halfway through this video. Playing as insurgents conducting an ambush on a Russian convoy.
The end gets really intense.

OFP Dragon Rising is a rip off of the game trying to make a buck on the name of OFP (which was originally made by the same company that makes ArmA2).
