I'm in my hotel room getting ready to go out and drinking a nice bottle of Bollinger. It cost about £50, but it's worth the extra ;)

Mango is more tart than sweet and a reisling would be pretty gross.

edit // I don't know why we're arguing this point. A 12 year old's palette isn't refined enough to know the difference between good and bad champagne anyway.

Does anyone else thing Champaign is the worst hangover alcohol (I mean in that if you are hung over feeling its the last thing you want to smell/taste)?

I don't know why, but it always reminds me of vomit.

If you can't afford decent champagne, your next year is going to suck just as much.

Also, you don't have to spend a lot of money to find a nice champagne or sparkling wine. You just have to know where to look. Don't go to a supermarket or a liquor store because they're just going to have the standard . Go to a place that specializes in wines or alcohol and check their selection.

My favorite sparkling wine is by Gloria Ferrer. It's a California vineyard so we get it pretty cheap out here.

Moet is pretty good and relatively inexpensive. Same with Veuve Clicquot.
