Digweed is coming to my city along with Hawtin and others to be confirmed, does he still deliver? And what kind of music is he playing actually? i haven't followed him for ages.

If anyone has a link of a recent set and is willing to share i'm full ears. Thank you in advance.

I'm fine thanks.

He's been completely past-it for more years than I care to count now. Plays big room tech-prog competently enough, but there's no reason you should pay John Digweed prices and contend with all the tery of a big event just to hear competent tech-prog.

Saw him last year, left the club after about an hour. Played boring tech-prog then that went nowhere, and still playing it to this day.

Used to be better a few years ago, might go and see him in February but not expecting too much
edit: Hawtin would be well worth seeing, plays techno better than digweed imho

Lost the plot, unfortunately. He really likes whoring Bedrock as well, which I guess is understandable...

Has blown me away every single time I've seen him sans the time he was with Sasha.

Just search the tracklist section for "John Digweed" and you'll find his recent sets.

I just saw him on Hawloween and then just this past new years eve. He still has it. He played an 8 hour set at the Avalon in LA and it was dope! But the majority of the set is go no where type prog but then once he feels he has weeded out all the non fans he lets it all out and unleashes his fury. But in a festival setting like when I saw him at Halloween he gets straight to the point and just bangs it out. Def. worth seeing.

I was thinking about older DJ's like Sasha and Digweed and Im sure the same goes for Oakenfold and Van Dyk and Tiesto. There is no more drive to be pushing themselves and striving for better. They made it and will do what they have always done and so they will never be as good as they used to be because they have lost that desire to be the best. A lot of these smaller DJ/ PRoducers that are coming up have this drive and are giving the EDM scene is progress. They want to be noticed and they want to be heard. So they are being innovative. While its sad to admit it but i feel like Sasha, Digweed and all the other greats have lost this drive which is essential to staying on top of their game.

Bottom line: Thats my opinion and go check em out for yourself, they still have a lot to offer.

His recent liveset. Though I think his recorded mixes are nothing like what he plays live. I follow him regularly though when I saw him live earlier this year, I didn't recognize anything he played.

I played at Avalon on NYE and guess who was headlining the main room? JOHN DIGWEED! hahaha yeah, shameless plug.

Anyways, Digweed is THE MAN! He ed Avalon a new one. I had to leave early cuz my girlfriend got a fever, but man the little that I heard, he was on a mission.
