I used get lost in a trance when listening to these songs.

is it normal to think of "flashbacks at past rave venues" that I been too when I listen to trance? it ALWAYS happens to me I don't know why

so what does Willow & Sunrise sound like to you?

and I'm not a troll nor am I an alt. I apologize if this is the wrong kind of discussion to have

How the are you having flashbacks to the past, this music was popular when you were still learning that picking your nose is gross. I mean for 's sake, you (like myself) have just turned 18 (if your profile is to be believed), where are exactly are pulling these "flashbacks to the past" from?

From your ass. That's where.

I don't like you.
Dj Pluviose
I'm really not believing what I'm seeing from this guy.

Do people on this forum have to be such a snob?
I'm sorry, you must be confused.
I'll try my best to remain civil, while the other part of me just wants to believe that you're... ugh

Anyways, I've been to a handful of raves before I even turned 18.

I've been to:

Tiesto - Elements of Life Tour (San Francisco 2007 @ Bill Graham Civic)

SkillsDJ.LoveFest 2007 - After Party - Gabriel & Dresdon, Sasha, Ferry Corsten (SF 2007 @ Bill Graham Civic)

ETD.Popsicle 2008 - Markus Schulz, Tiesto, Ferry (SF 2008 @ Cow Palace)
(this is the rave where there was a power outage during Tiesto's set)

SkillsDJ.LoveFest 2008 - ATB, Kyau vs Albert, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren (SF 2008 @ Bill Graham Civic)
(this was when Armin first released "Imagine"

Tiesto - Kaleidoscope Tour (SF 2009 @ Cow Palace)

I don't know what your problem is, man. What did I do to you?
Do you think I just register to this forum to talk about random I made up? What is there to gain or benefit from stuff like that?

I imagine "flashbacks of past events (raves)" because I have been to them.

For God's sake, I was 15 when I went to see Tiesto: Elements of Life. I sneaked in through underage somehow. Yeah, they don't check IDs, that's why.

I have proof, videos, photos and everything.
But really, what is the necessity of that?

Can't you just have an open minded, civilized discussion?
If you don't like what I post, then simply, dont read or reply to what I have to say

Those weren't raves..

If I saw the ad on RaveLinks, BayAreaRaves, and flyers that said "EDM Music Events," then is it not a rave?

What is a rave then?

Fine, whatever. It's not a rave.

Raves happened when you weren't alive, and in your formulative years. Now those are just 'parties' because they're all so professionally organised.

Goldenscan - Sunrise (DJ Tiesto Remix) is great, the other song not so much.

What you posted were concerts/shows.
This is should be a good example of a rave

A rave is something that does not involve money nor business where all the people is drunk, you listen to music you'll never listen in a club and is brilliant.

First track is average, at some parts reminds me to Circa - Forever , Tiesto has better old stuff.

I prefer second track, the synth is a bit annoying but this could be probably due to the mono 128kbps quality video...

Don't let anyone discourage you from listening to what you like.

Newcomers usually get slaughtered here with vicious comments. Most have grown to get used to it by now. Everyone here is extremely opinionated so if you don't want both the "good" and "bad" comments then it's wise not to ask silly questions lol

Search before posting, many many things have already been discussed here over the years and I am sure you will find some interesting threads.

Anyway...

Goldenscan - Sunrise (DJ Tiesto Remix) and the (Ronski Speed Mix) has always been one of my favorites through the years. I really don't know which remix I like more. They are both equally good :) You should check out the other mix if you haven't heard it yet.

To be fair, at least this guy's not as annoying as Existo22.

Say what you will, but her .gif avatar rocked.

OT: Tiesto used to be good at the time. Here are a couple of other classics you might enjoy:

Ayla - Ayla
Blank & Jones feat. Elles De Graaf - Mind Of The Wonderful (Acoustic Version)
BT - Sunblind
Conjure One - Tears From The Moon (Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise Mix)
Faithless - Why Go (Ferry Corsten Remix)
GTR - Mistral (Original Mix)
James Holden - Horizons (Original Mix)
Johan Gielen pres. Abnea - Velvet Moods (DJ Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise Remix)
Midway - Monkey Forest (Original Mix)
Utah Saints - Lost Vagueness (Oliver Lieb's Main Mix)

About the last: Been in a big Oliver Lieb (L.S.G.) mood lately. Bought his whole album-discography. This guy is a true artist. Check his work out.

Also check the entire [Lost Language] catalogue. Some real jewels in there.

The reason to why so many people rage about threads like these is because most of us have moved from trance a long time ago and listen to other genres, or what we consider "classics". I used to be just like you a few years ago, but you will soon discover (hopefully) that the rabbit hole goes way deeper.

Also, this is what real trance used to sound like:

DJ Pluviose, where can I listen to some of your mixes? I checked DJ Promo, but had no luck for some odd reason. I looked on the front page, and even did a search for you, nothing! I guess you must have forgotten to post. I notice there are no links in your signature either. I suppose we all forget to update those things. Don't we, DJ Pluviose.

Please, DJ Pluviose, help me out here. I'd love to hear some of your work.
