I feel like as far as the countries on that list are concerned, the further down you go, the less likely it is for rape cases to be reported in them. |

Is that one of those things where the guy tries to rape the girl and then when he pulls his penis out it locks onto his wang with spikes and he has to go to a hospital to get it removed? That would work...except now you just royally pissed off your rapist and he'll more than likely kill you on the spot. |
I'm thinking he has a much more pressing issue to deal with |

thats true. This is why crime in canada is supposedly going down when in reality its probably going way up. Its just that a lot of people dont bother to report it anymore since they are too used to it. |
So the chart you cited is the real deal, but I'm also correct in my assertion that both charts are inaccurate, because crime in Canada is actually going up because most people don't report it anymore?
I stand corrected. You may just be addled enough to have a shot at federal politics. |

If he had a weapon, it would takes seconds to kill her. Then he could get back to his pressing issure. :p
Imagine walking into a hospital and having to tell them that you tried raping a girl and need this penis lock taken off. They'd probably leave it on and let him suffer!! |

This is unfortunate if true, and you can't really tell what happened or didn't happen with the details released. I'm not sure what their motive would be to make this up, it's not like they can sue for money or whatever. And I'm sure it's quite common for women to report these things days later, maybe they were afraid to say anything till they left the country? And after that amount of time, would a rape kit still find any evidence anyway?
I've been all over Mexico and have definitely had a couple situations with the local police as well as the federal police, usually they are pretty easy going and are just looking for a small bribe (the Federal guys can be really s). Although if they really do have you on something serious they will want much more than $50-$100, and will likely arrest you to scare the hell out of you before asking for the big bribe.
I love Mexico and all the local people there, it's unfortunate about all this bad press for them recently. It's the local honest hardworking people who benefit from tourism and then a bunch of idiots ruin that for everyone. The government really should crack down all the bad behavior so they can boost the image again. |

stats based on per capita as opposed to just raw numbers are the real deal. The integrity of the info that went into that list are what you and i both question.
, even when i agree with you, you disagree with me. |

Go to other countries, you are their guest. Don't with their laws, and with whomever they choose to enforce said laws.
If they are a poor, corrupt, prone to evil or known for unethical behavior, be extra cautious because they will not put their ways aside when they deal with you because you are Canadian. You have a Maple Leaf on your bag, and a Canadian passport and say 'eh!' a lot, you're wearing a in invincibility cape.
If you don't what the laws are there, or how they enforce them, check into them before you go. If you don't agree with them, don't in go! |

Thats because in Turkey rapists get shot in spot or in jail right away. Thats like like little discouragement. In canada you will get out of jail like 2 years and rape more, lol |
