What did you get out of the TA production forum (pg. 2)

Great vibes, great talent, even bigger egos, which makes appraisals even more rewarding.
If there is anything I've learned here is that EVERYONE struggles and in one way or the other is determined.
There are different opinions and different avenues and that's not a bad thing. I've also learned that TA has the rule: "Who screams the loudest just derails and eventually will kill the thread" So it's sometimes better not to share your POV.
Productionwise i didn't learn jack here. But I've learned a whole lot about the EDM ecosystem :D which now has given me peace of mind |

| Its pretty much been my main place to go to learn various things about production. I've read a few books and stuff as well, but I learn best when I'm presented with multiple perspectives on a topic and participate in a discussion about them. Its been good because I've been able to sit and learn for the most part adn haven't had to ask too many questions, since most of the important topics keep coming up about every 6-8 months. That does get a bit boring now that I understand most of the stuff now though. |

| A lot over the past decade. In the early days I bought a lot of hard to find vinyls from other members. I've bought and sold hardware as well. Then after getting into production, the amount of knowledge and tips I've learned from the production forum is too much to even try to relay. There are many memorable threads too that I'll always remember. For 10 years now TA is the number one site I still visit and it will always hold a special place in my heart. |

What I Git Form Tranceaddicts by cryophonik
I like tranceaddict because peoples here are funny and are good mugicians. Sometimes they say mean things, but I know that they don't really mean it, they're just having a bad day or are maybe constepatid. Sometimes they change their name and I don't know who the f#@$ they are for a few days, but then I figure it out or someone tells me. I know I'm not supposed to say f#@$, but I write it on forums sometimes when I'm upset. I also like that peoples here come from many differnt countries and have differnt persperectives, but we don't all hate each other like in real life, cuz wars are dumb and I don't think Canada should be called a country because it's just a bucnh of peoples who try to act American or French, but don't do a good job at either. Dutch peoples are crazy. I don't know what trance is but I don't like it and all those genras, like deadmaw5 and Teistio, are kinda weird. That is all.

One of our most successful and well regarded tracks could not have been done without cryophonik, whom we met on TA, and it's turned out to be the beginnings of a very successful working relationship. |
Absolutely! Unfortunately for TA, our next release is going to make me and Eric so famous that we won't be able to bother with all the peons here anymore. :p OK, well maybe not that big, but I see good things happening with those projects. ;) |

Damn you both!
Congratulations! You are now everything that is wrong with the music industry. If your success is our failure, then we must cultivate a self-soothing narrative which assails every aspect of your work for what ours (the little people) isn't! :p ;) |

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I also like to ruminate upon abstruse and grandiloquent declarations proffered by some of TA's more garrulous affiliates.
Thesaurus.com ftw! |

well, ta has taught me alot of things over the years. Ive been mostly a lurker but the search funktion (when it ing works...) Has been my best friend.
And alot of lulz since Mad4Brad joined in. I havent laughed so much at an forum thread like when he quoted him self and agreed on the argument.
And the whole forum it self did introduce me into alot of subgenres. I mostly use my knowledge about analog...things to impress on women.
Ta hasnt done for my grammar and spelling though.
Ps. Oh and sometimes i just want to cuddle up in Cryophonics lap and let him pet me like a kitteh. |
