What did you get out of the TA production forum (pg. 3)

I actually avoided coming to TA for years as first I was a member at propellerheads and then after I stopped using reason I mosied on over to the serioussounds network for another couple of years.

What kept me from coming here was really 2 things. First that big gay bald guy on the top left who appears to be looking down at his bf when he blows him.
And 2 is people on other forums use to always tell me "that group over at TA is a bunch of wild boyz".

I heard that more than once from various long term members at other forums and assumed the forum was full of a lot of young kids with oversized egos. Although just reading the threads wasn't enough I use to dip into the ta chatroom years ago when a ton of people actually used it.
And all I saw in the chatroom was people cracking jokes and making fun of each other, and that again turned me off from ever coming here.
When I found collab I noticed that attitude on there was much more serious and it was all about the music/technical aspects of production.
Then one day I veered into the production studio and saw what I believe was the kick thread. I was overwhelmed by the fact that a thread about a ing kickdrum had grown almost as long as a book. And when I started reading through it I was like "wow these guys can really sound smart when they want to".

So I joined shortly after that and another thing I liked was the higher rates of traffic that came through. Then I joined and realized that TA was not even remotely as "wild" as I once thought it was. I think that label was more or less for the chatrooms and I just assumed the forum would be the same way.
But all in all for the most part all though a ton of people complain, the production forum "gets it done" in many ways. You always will have the overqualified who has no purpose being here other than bitching about as much as they possibly can (I'm not talking about M4B). But for the most part even though personalities don't always mesh our goals almost always do, and thats what counts.

Everyone on here just wants to improve their music as much as they can, and it doesn't really matter how experienced or unexperienced they are. We ALL appear to share that one common goal, and as much as we get on each others cases at times its more like 2 brothers fighting than 2 soldiers from opposite sides of the line. And thats why I come here religously, I almost always learn something valuable, even on the days I come here more or less to just "hangout".

I get a lot out of TA. The best part of this subforum is that it's pretty small, and it's not like a 'big city' forum which is impersonal--they tend to be spamfests and lack communication imo.

I get lots of information here, and I also got signed through these forums too.

I used my last pickup line like 10 years ago :(. "I'm gonna hit on you". It did work hehe. I love my girl but miss the thrill of chasing women sometimes. I had to chase them because they kept running off.

I'm not talking about the chatroom atx made btw I'm talking about an older chatroom like 4-5 years ago. Before I even came to this forum.

ATXs has too much homosexual activity going on. jk im sry that was mean. No wait I wasn't kidding forgot what I was talking about. Ok let me rephrase that, atx is gay. His chatrom is only 10% gay.. cause the other 9 people are not atx.

I also heard he teaches people how to pick up strippers as a cover for the fact that he is not really attracted to them himself. lov u atx :tongue2
