When I first heard trance I was suddenly overcome with the desire to go ask ing stupid questions on message boards.

First time i heard Trance i think was somewhere in the end of the seventies. I don't remember the song but it was something with Klaus Schulze, i think, or similar. Then at the time i didn't know it was Trance but unfortunenly i forgot it until 15 years later when i heard Tiesto spinning happy gabba in a dark lit basement somewhere in the netherlands hearing Da Joker - Get Up Our Dicks screaming out on loud volume and since then i've been stuck..

Someone showed me Ayla - Ayla (DJ Taucher Remix) when I was 19 and I instantly fell in love with it.

Of course you don't. You didn't have ears and were busy swimming your ass off: November 3rd, 1982 :)

I loved 90's dance music when I was very young and my first record was Europop by Eiffel 65 and my love for dance music just kind of spawned out of that.

I first listened to eurodance, happy hardcore and hard trance and then I eventually just moved from there to progressive house, and I now listen to and love house and each of it's subgenres and techno, but I can't stand hard trance or happy hardcore anymore.

Cafe Del Mar 98 turned me

euphoria
My mom listened to nu-wave, synthpop, and eurodance so I was quite familiar with electronic music. I grew up listening to artists like Depeche Mode.

The first electronic artists I got into on my own were Massive Attack, Paul Oakenfold, and Moby. My musical tastes developed from there.

When I heard trance I was immediately intrigued and began searching for more.

Huh, just got a flashback of when I used to lurk TA to find new trance recommendations. I remember someone suggesting this track and I went and grabbed it. It was like a digital Renaissance period for me.
