Did you like it right away? or did it take you a lot of speculating, dilly dallying and then all of a sudden one day you suddenly listened to 1 song that opened the gates to you?
As for me, I didnt like any Trance songs at first.

I liked it right away.
The first song I fell in love with was a techno remix to Beethoven's Fur Elise. I never found out who actually made the remix. It's not any of the one's that come up when you search for it on Youtube. I wonder who made it. |

| it wasnt trance that i liked initially, it was electronic music. after a while, i decided it was trance that i liked and not house or techno. |

| I always had a liking for 90's dance music that I would always hear my older sisters play but then one day I accidentally heard ATB - Don't Stop on Muchmusic and yes, I loved it, straight away. |

I thought, "God, what a ing annoying, grating sound that is. What's with that long-ass intro? And why isn't there any kind of catchy 2 Unlimited riff?"
For the record, that first song was Age Of Love on a 'rave-techno' compilation way back in '93. I guess I wasn't quite ready to hear trance.  |

| Well it appears that I fell in love with house first before I loved trance, but at that time I didn't know the ing difference. One of my cousins introduced me to Miss Jane - It's a Fine Day (ATB Remix) in 2001 and I immediately fell in love with it and began pursuing more melodic/epic/progressive tunes. Eventually I came back to house and now I love it more. |

I loved trance before I actually heard it. Reason for that was Jean Michel Jarre - Fourth Rendez-Vous which I heard in the late 80's.
I listened to synthesizer music, (acid)-house and then in the 90's trance as a genre started to appear.
So when I first heard trance it probably wasn't called trance. |

I fell in love with the "Robert Miles - Dreamland" album long before I knew what genre it was. I just called it New Age dance music at the time.
A few years later, when I learned that type of music was called "trance", I looked into it... and the rest is history.
So yes, when I first heard trance, I absolutely loved it.
I think the fact that I loved film/game soundtracks AND 80s/90s dance music from a young age led to me inevitably loving trance as soon as I heard it. |

| I thought it was cool cuz I like listening to different music.. believe it was an Oakenfold mix album or some from 2001.. but I never really got into it back then, and got into house music 2 years ago. I don't particularly enjoy trance. Went to a massive and Markus Schulz, Sander Van Doorn, Ferry Corsten and Sied Van Riel were headlining the trance room. Only set I loved was Schulz' tech trance set. Very dark, proggy and chuggy. |

| My first exposure to a "trance-ish" sound was probably either a Japanese artist my cousin introduced me to, or a remix from the OCR FFVII album. Either way, I remember being bored by the repetitive structure, constant build - it wasn't until I heard a set two years or so ago that I really started listening to it. |
