I'm passionate about underground music and CKLN has been my home, once a month, to showcase local Toronto djs/producers of electronic dance music without fear of censorship or being forced to play off a "hit" list like commercial radio!

Yah you should probably look for a new gig...
On a side, how much does it cost to run a small station??
TA Radio anyone?? |

I think it's important to realize that we've made tremendous efforts in the past year to achieve compliance and that it's mostly a capacity issue. Community radio stations, by and large, do not have the workforce that a commercial radio station can bring to bear on admin and all the paperwork required by the CRTC.
Moreover, once the station was re-opened in 2009, the board and membership were doubly tasked with fighting lawsuits (no small feat)trying to achieve compliance, as well as fundraising to help fix gear and make station improvements.
Aside from the disastrous period of 2007-9, the station has acted in good faith.
Personally, I can't understand how Toronto is best served with one less independent voice. |

| by far ckln has the best music diversity in Toronto. i quite often find myself listening to it in the car. yes it might be a poorly managed station but at least they play decent variety of music compared to any other over commercialized station in toronto. |

If you actually want to broadcast on airways? 100 000$+ a year. That's considered a small budget. |

The Guys That were doing That Have Been removed Now But The Plan Is Still There To Take Over That Frequency Because Another Sattion Owns The Tower & Doesnt Wnat CKLn To Be Its Competition

What I Said Is True & This Isnt About Me Its About A Historical Place That Introduced EDM & Urban Music To The Audince
Its Also Non Commercial Radio That Is A Place For Underground Music & A Place For Non comercial Artists To Get A Chance To Practice There interviews & Many Other Things
You Can Hate On Me Whihc Is Cool i Already Embarassed You Many Times But This Is Something Serious That Effects Everyone Who Loves Music & Marginalized & Unheard Music
Im Not Saying That The Programming Is The Best But CKLN Is Historical & It Shouldnt Be Removed Because Another Radio Station Wnats To Sell It Signal To Commercial Radio
This Isnt About Me This Is About Keeping Something Historical Alive For Another Generation |

+1
As much as I'm all for promoting music that isn't commercial garbage, that doesn't excuse the radio station's inadequate ability to run the station properly and to follow the CRTC's rules...for 3 years nonetheless.
Sorry, but you're not getting my signature. |

You Need To Read The Whole Story Behind This Its Not As Cut & Dry As The People Against CKLN try To Make/Hide
The People That Caused The Issues Were Removed They Illegally Locked Out The Programmers & Have Done Other Things To Block CKLN From Moving Forward
The People That Caused The Issue Have Vested Interest They Are Working In Colusion With Another Radio Station To Bring In A Commercial Radio Station As The Other Station That CKLN Uses The Signal Tower From Does Want Any Competiton
This Is A Deep Issue As There Are Forces From Other Radio Stations That Inplanted People To Destroy CKLN To Sell There Signal To Someone Else
Remember That College Radio Birthed EDM & Urban To Auidences Who Never Heard It Before Any Big Clubs Played It It Was On College Radio CKLN If Not Based On Programming Should Still Be Saved For Historical Purposes |
