The People That Caused The Issues Were Removed They Illegally Locked Out The Programmers & Have Done Other Things To Block CKLN From Moving Forward
The People That Caused The Issue Have Vested Interest They Are Working In Colusion With Another Radio Station To Bring In A Commercial Radio Station As The Other Station That CKLN Uses The Signal Tower From Does Want Any Competiton
This Is A Deep Issue As There Are Forces From Other Radio Stations That Inplanted People To Destroy CKLN To Sell There Signal To Someone Else
Remember That College Radio Birthed EDM & Urban To Auidences Who Never Heard It Before Any Big Clubs Played It It Was On College Radio CKLN If Not Based On Programming Should Still Be Saved For Historical Purposes |
Thanks for the perfect example of the radio station being run so poorly, thus the reason for the CRTC taking away the license. If things were this bad, you should have been petitioning the CRTC a long time ago to step in and help get the "people who caused the issue" removed.
Read what I wrote, I support underground music and non-mainstream radio stations but if they're going to be run poorly, the fact that they play underground music is NOT a sufficient reason to let them continue their incompetency.
If you feel so strongly, rather than waste your time with this petition you should be banning together with the other people who support CKLN and look at your options to start a new college radio station off, and do it right. |

As significant as the problems of the past are/were, it's not really the issue now: I am painfully aware of the staff capacity issues, the funding situation, and the persistent vexatious lawsuits.
The issue that we're fighting is the way in which the CRTC has decided to shut the station down.
Moreover, the station has the support of the National Campus Radio Association and the Executive Director agrees w/ the dissenting commissioner:

This Was A On Going Saga I Believe For About 3 Years Now
Theres No Need To Start A New Station When The One Thats Trying To Be Shut Down Has Done Everything To Rectify The Problems That Were Created By Past Management Who Are Working Against The Station
The People Who Did Cause This Mess Have Been Removed & CKLN Has Been Doing Everything Correctly Since That Time With Limited Help & Limited Support
What You Might Not Know Is There Are Entities That Wamt CKLN Gone Because They Wnat To Sell The Signal To ANother Radio Station CIUT Uses A Tower From Another Radio Sation That Station Has Its Hand In This Decision
A Petition Is A Start Then Mobilization Is Next There Wont Be Another College Radio Station getting Te Signal Thats The Sad Thimg Its Going To Go To Someone Else Its Already Been Planned Trust Me This Is Deeper Than Whats Being Said
The CRTC Revoked The License Instead Of Imposing Sanctions First They Leap Frogged The Process Because There is More Behind This Someone At Another Station That CKLN Competes With Has There Hand In This But Wants To Hide
I Only Come On Here When Someone Says My Name SO You Guys Know That I Feel This Is Important
Im Not Asscoaited With Any College Radio Stations But CKLN & College Radio Is Needed & Appreciated & For It To Be Dissolved Under False Pretences & In A Incoorect Manner Is Not Correct Escpially When People ARe Working Against It To Close It Down To Sell The Signal |

| Nick, do or did you have anything to do with the station or are you just a supporter?? |

Long live community radio! I have had family ties to CIUT for 25+ years and know how much hard work is put in by in large part volunteers. They are the only stations that are truly representative of the people and therefore need everyone's support.
Looks like the 88.1 slot on the dial is gonna be up for grabs. Who wants to bet it will be replaced with another commercially run top 40 style format? |

Im A Supporter Of Local Radio All Stations All Over Canada Reagrdless If Im There or Not Because There Needs To Be A Place For Marganilized Unheard Music
This Decision Could Change The Face & Process Of All Stations In The Future As It Sets Up That There Would Be No Process For Revocation
I Wont Lie CKLN Holds A Special Place In My Heart Because It Was The First College Radio Station I Listeed To It Was A Place That Introduced Me To Music I Love That Wasnt Played On Commercial Radio
If I Could Do Anything To Save It Outside Of Showing Support I Would But It Needs More Then Me Im Not Lying When I Say Theres Somethign Deeper Going On & That CKLN Is Having This Done Because Of Another Stations Interest
Again I Have Never Worked At CKLN or Volunteered At CKLN Or Even Had A Interview There
Im A Supporter Of Local Radio All Stations All Over Canada

You Guys Know I Only Come On Here When People Say My Name This Time Its Something Much Bigger Then Me Something That Could Change The Landscape Of Music Including EDM In Canada |

| I think if you didn't grow up in Toronto, you wouldn't know about, or have an appreciation for CKLN, CIUT, CHRY & other of these college/university indie radio stations that helped play the style of music that commercial radio stations wouldn't play. These stations were the main pushers for an Urban station in Toronto which led to the creation of Flow 93.5fm for example. |

Honestly We Can Argue Another Time About Me This ISnt The Time Or Place This Is About Community Radio That Has Music & Cultural Programming & What Is Being Done To That Outlet For The Community By The Crtc
Dont Worry To Much About Things That Already Happened Like Where My Music Has Been Played Lets Focus On This Topic Please This Isnt About Me

I Agree That Not Everyone Knows ABout CKLN & Its History But There Are Campus/Community Radio All Over The Country That Could Be Affected By This Decision
Personally I Grew Up Listening To College Radio To Learn About Music When I Was Younger & Saturdays 1-4 I Learned So Much About People & Music Thoose Years When I Was Young It Made Music Come Alive Made Me Fall In Love With Music As A Whole & To See That Die Would Really Hurt
Campus & Community Radio Play A Huge Role & Cultural Programaming In Our Multicultural Cities/Country & Also Serve The Purpose Of Being A Outlet For New Or Marginalized Music That Doesnt Get Played On The Radio Until It Becomes Commercial |
