lakeshore drive is shut down in both directions, my friend has been stuck on it in his car for nearly 7 hrs.
will try to post pics.
due to an extended city bus spinning out and blocking 3 lanes, and all exit lanes were blocked due to stuck traffic. it's an epic mess. |

lol i never saw Thundersnow or ThunderFreezing Rain in Illinois, but have have seen it in Oklahoma. ed up stuff for sure. adds a whole new element to it :)
Cchiago O'Hare had 18" of snow as of right now. and still snowing....
crazy stuff folks - enjoy it :)
but people are stupid for trying to travel. i mean, EVERYONE knew about this storm DAYS in advance.....and you wake up and you look outside and think, "wow, this is bad....ok welp, time to go drive in it" .... COME ON! stay the home. they should shut down major roads BEFORE it gets bad....so cars aren't stuck on them. oh well. |

Actually, if I were the mayor of a city like Chicago in times like these when everyone knew about the storm, I'd not only keep the roads open but I'd probably do everything to make sure cars would be allowed to roam freely around the town because either they're intelligent people who really had an emergency and should get somewhere else quickly or because they're really stupid and wanted to make sure their cars would help make beautiful photographs later that week for the Boston Globe.
I can barely wait for this week's "Big Picture"! |
