Inhabiting the two rooms of the massive Ice Palace venue for a huge all-star event, Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats In Miami party is their biggest gig in the city to date and features a transatlantic array of the most forward-thinking names in trance and progressive music.
Following two years of sell-out parties at Karu & Y and with early bird tickets selling out in just a few days, the Ice Palace spectacular looks set to be a cornerstone event for any electronic music fan visiting Miami during this year’s party week.
Top of the bill will be the headline set from Above & Beyond themselves. With anticipation around their forthcoming Group Therapy album building and lead single "Sun & Moon" recently unveiled, Above & Beyond’s set promises to be everything their many fans would hope for – an exclusive showcase of new material and unreleased anthems from their legendary Anjunabeats imprint.
Recently reunited for a very select handful of shows, progressive trance masters Gabriel & Dresden will be Above & Beyond’s special guests for the night, alongside legendary names like German powerhouses Cosmic Gate and Kyau & Albert, ascendant Finnish duo Super8 & Tab and trance trailblazer Mat Zo. Completing the main room line-up is the exceptionally gifted Canadian producer, Soundprank.
With their biggest Miami party yet, Above & Beyond are taking things to the next level, something they have been making a habit of lately. Just last December, the UK-based trio celebrated the 350 th episode of their Trance Around The World show with a marathon 7-hour broadcast from L.A.’s Hollywood Palladium. Not only did the event sell out in an unprecedented 24 hours, but it also went on to become the world’s number one trending topic on Twitter.
Such fanaticism and fervour follows Above & Beyond wherever they go. Each week over 30 million people eagerly tune in to their Trance Around The World show, fans regularly send in tattoos of Anjunabeats logos or Above & Beyond song lyrics and their DJ sets inspire scenes of explosive euphoria the world over.
Anjunabeats In Miami on March 24th will be Above & Beyond’s ONLY appearance of Miami party week. To add to the excitement, Sirius XM Radio will be broadcasting live from the main room all night, via its Area channel.

What is your favourite Miami memory?
Miami is such a fun place, especially when it comes to the Music conference time. One of our favourite memories for sure was our yacht party last year, we always look back at this with a huge smile on our faces, dont miss it this year if you get the chance!

Cosmic Gate "Back to Earth" Arty Remix - His masterpeace so far in our eyes!!!

What can we expect from your set at Ice Palace?
We will play some tracks from our current album "Back 2 The Future" plus some new unreleased tracks and remixes. And we will party together with the crowd as you are use to from the two of us, we can`t wait for this party to start - everyone that was in LA for TATW 350 knows what to expect and what we are talking about.
Tell us a bit about your next big release?
Actually the big thing that has only just been released now is our Back 2 The Future album with remixes from our early work from 1999 to 2003. The next big thing will be the next artist album with new productions we have just started working on, some very interesting collaborations are in the pipeline, watch out for it.

Exploring. New. Synths. Is. Fun.
What is your favourite Miami memory?
Last time when we played at the Anjunabeats party in Miami we only spent 5 hours there before heading to San Francisco, so we didnt have too much time to hang around, but after the gig we went to beach for 15 mins! It was totally empty in 5am, but it was still nice to sit down on the sand and watch the sea. Relaxing.

What can we expect from your set at Ice Palace?
The line up is amazing and I believe we are going to hear lots of classics that night so we are definitely going to drop a few as well. But we have also been working hard in studio so there will be new stuff from us which we will play there.
Tell us a bit about your next big release?
Theres an interesting collaboration coming, great remixes and some amazing artists remixing tracks from our album but of course we cannot say anything more about it right now.

Exciting, character-building, fun, intense, challenging.
What is your favourite Miami memory?
Probably getting the chance to play my own stuff out for the first time in a big venue, there's nothing else like it really.
Name 3 records that have been rocking your world most this year?
The Prestige Soundtrack, the Inception Soundtrack and Hidden Orchestra - The Windfall.
What can we expect from set at Ice Palace?
I'll be playing some new stuff of course, and some known Soundprank tunes. If anyone remembers my guestmix for Jaytech's podcast that's a good idea of what I'll be playing style-wise.
Tell us a bit about your next big release?
Currently working with Boom Jinx on some stuff which I'm really excited about. Other than that I have another EP coming up on Anjunadeep, will feature a new track that I'm really excited about, its a bit more raw and edgy but still has the deep vibe. |
