DD's War Of The Worlds - with added muscular Divaness now. by Dirtbox Divas

I don't understand the purpose of the breakdown. The rest is fine but the breakdown makes no logical sense to me.

As far as appeal ? I don't see anyone playing this on the main stage at 3 am. More of a track you would play at a cocktail party. The type of track you aren't suppose to really dance or listen to. SOmething to just provide ambience.

I think it might be too good. It's very disconcerting. People might hear that on the dance-floor and develop a ridiculous expectation that all music should sound that good and when they didn't hear it, they'd commit suicide - if not immediately after hearing that song then shortly afterward. It's a good thing your low end needs just a little shelving, because otherwise, I don't know if I'd make it through the night. Too dark? No. It's just too good.

;)

I actually do think it sounds really good, sir. Show it to Nem and keep at it.

It just flowed out, unplanned. I guess in the cold light of day tomorrow I'll get my nut around it better.

What do they listen to in the main room at 3am?

You like my metrosexual singing I trust.

Yea if NEM likes, we'll see where it goes. Hopefuly a masculinesuck fest to please M4B - he always prods me about my leather short gay pride over tones.

Production is good, hate the track. Just not my cuppa.

Have you pitch shifted or are you in fact, a large black man?

something people will dance to. I mean I can't even imagine me dancing to that even if I had an ecstasy drip attached to my arm.

I automated the pitch shifter wavering between 7 - 11 semitomes and, yeah it kinda worked me to an Alabama sweat.

Would aim to have some melodic sections as a contrast to the dark matter.

TBH this is the type of sound that really does it for me - maybe too restrained and techy though.

It's my favorite sort of kick too, as it seems to leave a lot of room, but isn't sexy enough for many.

I hate and despise this kind of minimal dark sound. I don't know why.

At least I can remain objective.

And 7-11 semitones? You must have been singing falsetto* then

*waits eagerly for the correction.

there's nothing particularly dark about this and im not sure the popcorn noise helps much

It is along my liking line, got some deep, fat and sweet, at the same time vibe to it, although agree with M4B (damn it, I didn't know that this it is going to happen ever lol) on that mini break at that particular time - you should be in the full swing of groove and melody development, but the idea and sound is really good and attractive - you definitely got something going on in this short production, just massage it/work on that beast and let us know when you have more rounded/develop version. Don't get my syndrome (can't finish track lately) lol lol lol.

Cheers,

There's some stuff that could be finessed a little, like the vocal sounding pitchy - although I did like it - and the delay on the high percs sounding a tad cluttered, but I still think it should be developed. As proof of concepts - I want to make sure you count my vote for the concept. Just needs the finesse and execution.
