| Every ing Carabana weekend someone gets shot, stabbed, killed, whatever. I don't know why. This happens every year and is always expected. I do not know why this "has to" happen, like it has become a tradition. I can say other things but they may offend some ppl. I do not want to conclude on this situation. but I will tell u one thing it is usually the tourists from the USA |

E*master, Easy on the US torist. I have been invovled in fights up in Canada and I had nothing to do with the guy before and he was Canadian. So the Canadians are just as bad as the US crew at times. Just one thing I will give Canadians over US people, Canadians are alot more layed back and they let too much slide on occasions.

It's just a fact, Caribana weekend is always a guaranteed violent weekend compared to any other weekend in Toronto. |

| I remember hearin on the news that every year that like this happens (when it happens at a CArribana event) the event loses more and more government funding and support. it's at the point now that many organizers have to pocket a lot outta their own to make this thing happen. it'z one of the reasons they had to change their name this year cuz of some sponsorship dispute ... crazy but wut can u do. it still brings a ton of $$$ into the city.. |

People wanna shoot and stab one another
go somewhere and do it
People go to clubs to Have fun, if you pick a fight in a club make sure you know what your getting yourself into, otherwise don't be suprised that the toronto sun is writing about you getting stabbed
that's my point of view
Club = Party/Fun not Shooting/killing
Peace keep the party alive |

Not only is Caribana weekend littered with violence, but 9times out of ten, it's the Trini's that are the ones that commit the violent acts. And they wonder why they keep getting disrespected.
I've got Caribbean friends, and some are Trini, and they're disgusted by the behaviour of their fellow ex-pat trinidadians.
Oh yeah... and this year it wasn't Caribana. It's now called the "Toronto International Caribbean Festival"
Funny how the city took over this, but isn't going to foot the bill for iDance. |
