I don't condone violence, or the "thug" attitude that a lot of people seem to feel the need to give off; but I also think that there's a place for the Caribana festival as well.
Just because *we* aren't fans of that style of music, or that culture, doesn't mean that it's festival should cease to exist.
I agree that it'd be nice to see a festival like idance get funding as well, but let's face it, Trance/House/Progressive music isn't a "cultural" thing, and as such, isn't going to get public funding. |
