Why?

I never quite liked him myself but he does have a huge following in NYC.

ehhhh...A lot of people in NYC don't take him all that seriously.

I don't agree with it really. I used to really like JP as a dj back in like 2002 - 2003. But I haven't heard him in quite a few years. He does have a really big following here though. So, I am sure it will be be a great night turnout wise.

The guy historically has the worst following in all of New York city. Why introduce his crowd to a club that is supposedly trying to brand itself as underground and music conscious...

Bad move on Districts part, they should focus more on getting Sasha, Digweed, Zabiela, Desyn, or some underground talent like Matin Garcia....

Don't get me wrong the place will be packed and im sure money will be made. but at what cost....?

thats what i said...i mean didnt they say they wanted to keep it "underground" i guess that didnt last too long

back in he factory days jp would turn it out i wont lie
i havent seen him since 2006 and friends of mine who still go and see him said his last few parties music wise was just horrible
i dunno if its cause he just wassent feeling pacha no more or he switched his style up

i guess the best thing for this situation is d36 better start enforceing the door regurading who they let in, cause his parties def bring out the skum of nyc

music wise iam not saying jp will blow anyone's mind but maybe he can find something in that room and make a good party/vibe out of it

if he's gonna continue to play electro garbage and d36 lets any d-bag in, then this matchup is not lookin good for very long

im not sure what parties your friends may have attended, but a bunch of my nyc friends who have been at his last 3 parties said hes been sooo on point lately, especially this past saturday at his bday. i was only at classics in sept so i can only comment on that and it was out of control, but my friends always give honest reviews of him and if he sucks theyll say it. but to each their own.

he is also no longer at pacha. he announced that this past saturday at his bday party that he has not renewed his contract and is now venturing out to have the freedom to play any nyc venues he chooses.

i guess time will tell.

That ship sailed when BlkMarket and Flawless walked out the door. Sleepy & Boo have some decent bookings coming up there, though. Jeff Mills and the Carl Craig parties should be good.

Whoever said that JP has been falling off should have been at Webster on Saturday. I haven't missed a JP party since I can remember, he is my favorite house dj. Nothing will obviously beat his classics parties, but every time he gets in his groove he is on point. Granted it may not be until the late hours of the night, but that is what he does.

No one should ever have to be @ Webster on a Saturday.

My desire to check this venue out have significantly diminished due to the string of incidents since its opening.
