You guys are asking the wrong questions...the real question is, who is the OP? Top 200 DJ, productions for Top 10 pop artists...hmmm...
Anyways OP... you're paying 50 euros a month for your access? :haha: That stuff can be had for free on forums/private torrent trackers. So thats 50*12 = 600 euros you spend on nothing. You're boosting the GDP of the countries where these FTP sites are located for nothing.
Good job \0/ |

| Shenanigans. There's no such thing as a "house/trance" dj that's in the DJ mag top 200. |

Sometimes I'll use YouTube rips as very basic practice, but if it's going in a set, I buy it. It's just too damn hard to find the (more obscure) tracks on torrent sites and what-not, especially in high-quality.
Now, I do have some Amazon MP3 compilations I've downloaded that come with full versions of the songs as well as the mixes. That may be a bit of a gray area, but I assume if it comes with the full version, you're probably ok to use them, since I paid for it (even though it's a hell of a lot cheaper than Beatport). I guess the counter would be that nobody is going to become a successful DJ by only playing songs from big-name compilations.
Anyway, my point is, it's too damn hard to find the songs you want in good quality by pirating most of the time. If you are in the Top 200 DJ poll by only playing tracks from artist albums, more power to you. |

Because why the hell should I pay for anything I can get for (almost) free? If I have paid for all the virtual instruments/AU's, plugins, loops, sampleslibraries and daws not even mention all the tracks I play on dj sets, i would be, well not in bankruptcy, but lets say it would be a big cut from my last 10yrs income. I would be crazy to voluntarily pay for something I can get for free.
This is why i dont pay for anything I can get for free, it is just common sense.

actually the circle is limited enough to guess who is him:
-Top 200 and you can safely exclude the top 100 i guess.
-He is European. Exclude the rest, say we have just 60 djs now. (The Sweden flag is real or not?¿ )
-He is using MAC's i can understand on the sets so now you are excluding a lot of djs who mix with tt's and cdjs (real djs man)
- Ghost producing and specially for top10 pop stars... i can see here Paul Oakenfold but i don't know if he uses Macs and honestly can't see him posting here.
I see Adam Sheridan too young, just 25 years old i'd expect someone around 30 if the information he gives is accurate, reading this again i'm starting to think he is a ing troll though.
Armand van Helden could suit on this but he isn't from Europe, bah i give up who cares. |
