Either way, the vitriol thrown at her and her family is worse than I've ever seen on any politician of any party in my lifetime... and for what really? She's not responsible for any of the real problems we deal with on a daily basis these days.

STOP DEFENDING HER BEFORE I KILL & DESTROY HER

haha! I'm no apologist... just trying to lend some perspective. Last week bigtime NY Senator Chuck Schumer said the 3 branches of US government were the House, Senate, and President. Dude's been in Washington for how long, 40 years? And he didn't know the Judiciary was the 3rd branch of government? If Palin said that, it would be in every tabloid, the lead story on every news program, and on the next 6 months of SNL and Daily Show skits. But when a Democrat says it, we hear crickets.

Kevin defends her because Palin supports women's rights in Russia.

Pfffft women's rights.

has schumer ever been a spectacular failure on a presidential ticket?

Its not a partisan issue at all kev, it’s an issue of who is “important” to the public and who sells newspapers or advertising space.

She's an idiot, the only people stupider than her are those who think she's pretty "hot" for a "politician."

There's worse. There are those that believe she has something informative to say.

McCain was the failure on that ticket... his campaign sucked ass (he wasn't going to win anyway though); too old, too much of a panderer, and too many years building a reputation based on going against his own party. But he would have got a lot less votes if Palin didn't come on board- a sad truth. Schumer has had presidential aspirations in the past and couldn't even get on any ticket. He's supposed to be one of the Senate's top dogs.

Chris Lee is not having a good day, either. Although this might help him pick up some hot chicks :o

Washington (CNN) - Republican Rep. Christopher Lee of New York resigned his House seat Wednesday following a report that the married congressman had tried to meet a woman on Craigslist. "It has been a tremendous honor to serve the people of Western New York," said a statement by Lee posted on his website. "I regret the harm that my actions have caused my family, my staff and my constituents. I deeply and sincerely apologize to them all. I have made profound mistakes and I promise to work as hard as I can to seek their forgiveness."

The statement said that "the challenges we face in Western New York and across the country are too serious for me to allow this distraction to continue, and so I am announcing that I have resigned my seat in Congress effective immediately."
