you mean the vocal effect on "Did you go punk?" i think that vocals are simply pitched down + some general vocal treatment
Kid_presentable
perfect.cheers

I always thought it was "Digital Punk" instead of "Did you go punk?"
Rodri Santos
both things would have a similar pronunciation, both have some sense too but i think you're right with digital punk , specially because it does not sound like a question

And ofcourse the track being named Digital punk, would be a hint.
Nightshift
ferry corsten usually uses a vocoder on vocals alot from what i can tell.
Final Call
didn't ferry use a microKorg with the vocoder to do that vox?

Track is called Punk simply http://www.discogs.com/Ferry-Corsten-Punk/master/45157 some people named it Digital Punk but the original release is Punk, now called Junk in 2011.

Vocoder creates that grain effect , possibly is that + the pitch down to get that dark voice.

hmmm my bad bout the track name then.

i'll try your hints.

If you're using Ableton, record your voice than load up the stock vocoder. Than, use any synth as your carrier. I use Predator and just skip through the hundreds of presets 'til I find one that I like. There's a few that sound very similar, you just gotta tweek them to get them to your liking.

I also program some sort of midi pattern into the clip that's using Predator. That gives it some variation. You can, if you wanna get creative, play the keyboard real time and get some cool effects.
Final Call
the vocal line does say "digital punk". when i saw him live at voodoo festival last year, he was mouthing the words "digital punk"
