Got to Vola around 11:15. Hear the sweet dark prog of Kris Morton. It was good. Mark Scaife also played a surprisingly good dark prog, proggy tech set, though I thought the programming could have been better. But I was pumped up and ready to rock.
Then the master took to the decks. First 30mins was similar to his 'deeper side' set. I really need a tracklist for that set. Mind twisting evil prog. It's awesome.
Then was a bit of prog trance with a prog breaks tune. Then the carpet bombing began. OMG. I hurt so bad. I haven't danced that hard in years.
It wasn't technically a flawless set by any means. But if you're into j00f's style of trance, it was perfect. Esp later in the night, relentless hard j00f trance that just kept going and going.
Then he drops this tune and all chaos breaks loose.
Then we all ed plur unicorns in the ass for the rest of the night.
End result? J00f is god

Haha, sounds amazing! Sounds like there were two amazing shows last night. I'd be inclined to think Manuel De La Mare was better, but having not been at J00F, I suppose I can't say for sure. I wonder how Maison was with Ferrer and The Martinez Brothers? We showed up at 11 to no line and $50 cover. Decided to go elsewhere instead.

Was pretty good. Wouldn't really be worth $50 at the door though so not going for that was a good call. Entry was easy as you said no line but it was still a good sized crowd inside at the peak. TMB was ok but nothing too special, set seemed a bit repetitive. Ferrer built up a killer though after the first 30 minutes he was all business out there. Sound system is obviously great but definitely still needs some tweaking or something, didnt sound as good as a funktion one generally would.

It seems like all the good acts at Vola are during the week? Is that accurate or no? I've been wanting to see J00F for a long time now, but the only times I've seen him playing in Ontario have been on Thursdays.
