It's within our right to make jokes, and there's nothing wrong with it. |
That could be debated for a very long time, but I won't get into it. This girl dying isn't funny. There's really no way around that, and making jokes about her isn't "light-hearted," it's sick and perverse.
Yes, I know the cor harbors some sick and perverse people. Hence my ignoring one in particular.
That's why I don't ignore geroin or Eddie, because I know they don't have any ill intent. Some people just take pleasure from the dismay of others, and that's just pathetic, and I choose not to take any part of that, which is most certainly my right as well. Don't tell me that they have a right to joke, but I don't have a right to be serious.
If you're so butt-hurt that somebody actually takes issue with someone openly mocking somebody they don't even know's death, you can take your own advice and get bent, because I really couldn't care less. |

I'm sure that wasn't your intention, but saying "oh she was so talented, it's too bad she died." I don't think I was claiming that we should be mourning every teen suicide, but if you do chose to do so, do so with respect. I guess it's more in the way her talent was being brought into discussion, and not just the fact that it was.
Celebrate her talent, praise it as much as you want, but don't say it's a shame that she died because she was talented. That's what trivializes it, not just the fact that her talent was mentioned. |
Have you any idea how rare it is to find a 17 year-old as accomplished as she was, let alone the fact that she is a very young female producer? Production Studio is a sausage festival, sponsored by a sausage factory, only celebrating a wide diversity of penis size and, honestly, I don't think there's one female there.

Scroll down, to the bottom. The survey results would have been better, but the page has been removed.
Fact is that there are precious few female producers compared to the number of men, who do it. How can that not be taken into account when discussing this girl's suicide? |

I'm sorry if I misunderstood you and geroin. It seemed to me more that you were saying that the reason that this is sad is because she was talented. I guess for me, it's a lot more saddening to see a life end at 17 than to see one less accomplished female producer. |

Nobody's begrudging that it's sad for your reasons but, honestly, it's a little more complex that just that it's a female producer, too. I'm hearing the math she was capable of and found myself relating to it in a way which is saddening that such a connection is now cut off from someone who was a prodigious rarity - even for male producers. There's probably a bit of a paternal instinct being aroused, as well, but the fact is that it's a tragedy she's gone from our world and I hope she's in a better place, now. |

I think I enjoyed Envy the most. It reminded me a little bit of Clubbed to Death.
Whatever happened to Rob D. anyways? |
