I think the first edition of this party at Footwork on Saturday was a testament to the fact that this city is ready for a change. That a type of music that is so drastically different from what is popular today was so well received proves this point.
It's time for the return of funked-up, feel good music.
I am pretty excited what this opportunity for a breath of fresh air will do for the crowd, parties and vibe in Toronto.
With this type of music in mind, who would you like to see at the upcoming additions of these parties?
Matt Tolfrey
jozif
Lee Curtiss
Maetrik
Wolf+Lamb
Shaun Reeves
The Revenge
Tensnake
Trus'me
Motor City Drum Ensemble
Maayan Nidam
Chez Damier
Steffi
Cassy
Prosumer
Pedro
Jef K
Fred P
Thompson
Gerd Jansen
Tim Sweeney
Joakim
No Regular Play
Droog
John Johr
...to name a few ;)
P.S. Any or all of these DJs would be preferred at any outdoor venue during the summer, during the day
mindspin1
Serge Devant
Erick Morillo
Bad Boy Bill
Some DJ Super Greg (Da Numba 1) would be a good change.

Go see David Morales at Stereo on March 26th. Don't go before 8am Sun morning so as to avoid the cheese.

WRONG. Do you need me to find video proof?! Sorry u missed out! lol :p
He played at an intimate venue (pretty sure it's gone now) called the Temperance Gallery @ Yonge and Temperance. I think Break and Enter hosted the party. I might be wrong on the year, but I think it was Halloween '08. He played really dark techno back then. I think his sound has changed a bit since then?
super short video...I was a mess. lol

Graham mentioned him already, but I echo The Revenge. Overall, probably my fav artist from the past few years, and one of the biggest influences in my DigDeep Disco series. I'd also add Jay Shepheard to that list, and would love to hear Will Saul lay it down like he did at School Bakery last summer. :)
