Growing up, one of my dad's friends had one of these. I was in elementary school when we would go over to his house, and I remember the dog seeming ing enormous. Really friendly, though. |

haha, not like Will :p I like dogs in general, as long as they're medium sized-large because you can walk them for miles and they don't get tired, unlike the lazy small dogs. As the oldest in my generation, I hadn't got brothers or cousins until I was a bit older, so the dogs kept me company, one was born just 7 weeks after I was and he used to be protective of me, if anyone tried to touch me, pick me up to change a nappy or whatever, he used to try & stop them. | :stongue: you shut up!
Max Power is awesome.

i miss him a ton :( |

To Bas, if you want to get a huge dog (100+ lbs), get a Bernese Mountain Dog. They're gorgeous, and depending on how you raise them, they can be a lot of fun too.
I was talking to a guy the other day while walking my dog, and he said his was about 8 months old and was already 90 pounds. He said they usually get up to around 130. |
my mother has one and se has always regretted it. They smell horrible and need bathing constantly. It is 130 pounds and the only thing it does is , eat and stink. |

Are you sure it wasn't a St. Bernard? Or are you sure it wasn't your actual mother that needed constant bathing and stank so much and not the dog? |

naw it is the dog that stinks for sure, we keep my mom outside so we would be able to tell.
There is no way to confuse a St Bernard with a Burmese. If you do, you don't know about dogs. |

| Come on. Jay's mom has to be well over 130lbs. |

| I dunno, I only knew one person who had one of these before that guy the other day, and she loved it. I didn't notice any stank coming off the dog when I was walking the other day, but I was outside so maybe I just didn't notice it. Thing was massive though, so I wouldn't be surprised if it eats and s a ton. |

I had to go over and help her take it to the vet last week. As Burmese become older, they become very very very lazy. They also have a predisposition to an ear condition (forget the name) which makes them smell like ear wax big time....that and tartar build up which also smells.
We feel sorry for the animal, and she does the best she can to take care of it. She got stuck with this 140 lbs monster when my grandmother died, so now she has to ride it out. This is a type of dog that is good if you have a lot of room and a huge yard.
I'm dog sitting next week, i'll take a pic of its when i walk him...when you pick it up it has this unreal weight and smell to it, kinda like frenchie.
her other dog, albeit a bit retarded is awesome.
a wolf/huskie hybrid that she saved from being put down. It took 3 years before it would stop being a nervous cunt. |
