Maybe not exactly Copy/ paste but along the same lines..
"not high expectations/ low expectations..."

| The line up was not blowing me away like the 2008 and 2009 Family Day parties. Dubfire has usually disappointed me. Not a huge Calderone follower. Expectations were low. |

isn't everyone entitled to have some expectations going into a party? and it's copying someone else to state a similar expectation? i'm still confused lol |

We all share a lot of the same opinions, but that's far from copy / paste. It's not surprising, given how close the 3 of us are we tend to rub off on each other.. |

I had a great night. Didn't get to see Carlo spin and I only caught a glimpse of Calderone's set. I was there for Dubfire and I thought he delivered for the most part. Honestly, I didn't get into his set for the first two and half hours or so. I felt like he was mixing a lot of older material with newer tracks that he wanted to try out. The progression of his set for most of that time was pretty consistent. It had me dancing, but it needed a little more oomph to it. I ended u spending quite a bit of time in the gallery, and the music was bumping in there.. I have no clue who was spinning, but it sounded great. I walked back into the main room and the music started getting better. Then around 4:30, he started dropping some serious techno, which got me into puppet mode. This went on for quite a while until sometime past seven when he started mixing some more housey / vocal tracks. At that point, I had no more energy in me so I called it quits.
I think if Calderone was on for another hour and Dubfire's set was a little shorter then that night would have been much better. Nonetheless, Dubfire made up for the more generic tunes he was spinning once he kicked things into high gear. I haven't heard music that intense since Digweed's set at Labour. No matter what people say, Dubfire does know what he's doing and is still one of my fav djs. He had the main room packed til the very end and saved all his gems for the right time. Good times. |

| When I was in the gallery Mark Oliver told me a guy asked him (while he was playing) if Deko-ze had started yet :nervous: :nervous: |
