The packs you have are awesome, its not really the kick youre having a problem with its the sounds around it.
I dont think so as I tested the track posted in this thread with its ideal kick in my own track and it sounds great but I cant use it as the kick in the pro track cannot be isolated satisfactorily.
Promise you Mat - you wont get this good a kick from those packs unless you have some special EQ and dynamics perhaps.
Again, I am happy to be proven wrong on this - if you think you can make a kick tyhat good, post it up here so I can download and scrutinise it honestly. I'll look a total tool if you pull it off!!

I've isolated it - it sounds much better than any of my kicks, samples or layers. I cant use it though as there is hihat and string noise over it.
Listen to it again, when the bass is not playing - then try and match it. It's far harder than I thought it would be.

ok, though i am not a star at patch creation, i will give it a go, just tell me where in in the YT you find the kick to sound perfect.

Hahah ! To be honest, I doubt i could because i would need all of his percs and stuff to make it sound exactly the same, but il give it a try, in the meantime try this : download some 808 drum samples off the net (there free) and get the demo of this compressor [[ LINK REMOVED ]]

so i heard 2 kicks and a lot of sinesub in there, i guess it's the density of the kick you're after, here is my take, certainly not identical, but might work?
just listened to the kick in the YT sample, i think there is some extra processing going on, then again he could be using an already processed sample, it sounds like some compression to me thats kinda driving the kick into a bit of distortion, im at work so cant have a go and see if i can match it...

No, you haven't. Unless you can get the sample by itself, its not a truly objective test.

Here not sure why the wave form looks so round thats not compression as it looks totally different in FL. Much more dynamics that don't seem to be showing on this waveform not sure why, but go listen. This is a kandi kick I stole. It really doesn't sound much better than any vengeance kick, but I feel more confident just using it. Sad, I know.
Roby - not quite the techy flava I was after but cheers anyhow.
Mise - techy but lacking beef n punch bro
Mathieu - I got assualted by all manner of downloads from zippyshare, so I gave up with that onje. Sorry man.

Yeh very true I'll see if I can go hijack some quality tech kicks a bit later today. =]
Obviously you don't need to use them, but if you like them enough at least you can use them as a reference point. The kick you posted would be impossible to rip with all the elements around it, so I'll see if I can find a similar one with a less busy intro.
