Yes. This is proving to be a bitch finding a place to stay. Laval is looking like the only promising option right now....
Does anyone have any connections or know of cheaper hotels? Possible apartment/condo rentals for the weekend? |

if you can deal w/ a hostel env., i would recommend Hotel de Paris. I've stayed there 3-4 times in the past and i've had no problems.
Its definitely not a party place though. You're looking at 20-30 bucks a night. You can also get semi-private rooms at 60-70 bucks....
This place is mainly used by out-of-country people visiting canada. Met people from South america, europe, and out-west.
Its on Sherbrooke. Its a 5-10 min. walk to Stereo/Circus |

| Really disappointed this isn't at Stereo... big fail. Will still be coming out for this.. my long awaited visit to Circus had to come at some point.. someone like Digweed would have to be it. |

I find this a bit rude when people say that. In the past couple of years Circus has made an immense job on making it's club better and getting amazing bookings. While stereo is starting to become a bit boring :(. When stereo re-opened it was absolutely amazing. New area, great sound, good djs and I loved when they did shows during sets( Wonder why it has stopped ). Now Stereo has a lot of the same bookings over and over, not a lot of new faces ( IMO ). The crowed on friday's is often Buena Note crowed and the place is 2/3 empty as of 6 30 am....
Circus on the other hand. Getting a new sound system, changing the place around, and doing SUCH AMAZING AND DIVERSE BOOKINGS. From trance to tech to house nights. Yes I know Stereo is only house music, for me it's a bit of a downer.( Loved when Stereo had many diff styles ).
In conclusion, I think we should give Circus a good chance to make a mega night that will set new standards and maybe one day we'll be saying the opposite.."Wish X dj was booked at circus" :) |
