Digweed and Voorn back in Montreal @ Circus Afterhours June 10th 2011 (pg. 5)

last time I was at Circus was on New Years and I just couldn't get into it. So I kept myself entertained by chatting with friends and doing a lot of people watching. So I easily noticed some guys checking myself and my best friend out then making a bee-line towards us.
Plus its kind of hard not to notice when they get right up in your face or do something intentional to get your attention. I generally don't notice most nights unless someone points out a gawker to me, or as I mentioned they do something that I can't help but notice. Like come up and tap my shoulder just to say "Hi"
Truthfully the more hetero nights at Stereo aren't any different. At Richie Hawtin I almost needed one of the guys I was with that night to act like my boyfriend, so that someone else I knew would stop following me around and trying to grab at me. Eventually I just ran upstairs in Stereo with my friend. Because I knew the follower didn't have access and wouldn't be able to follow me.

Hmm..this is pretty cool. I've never been to Stereo but I did visit Circus this past July for Starkillers and I was really impressed with the club. It's so clean first of all and I like the beds they have setup next to one of the rooms. It's the nicest afterhours club I've been to and I noticed that there were quite a few girls there too. Usually these places fail on that aspect, so that was obviously a good thing. I guess it had to do with the 'urban' music room but still who cares. I had no qualms with the rest of the crowd nor the music quality and lighting.
For them to get Digweed AND Voorn is pretty awesome to say the least. I dont know why people are hating on this place when they haven't even visited it. It's easily nicer than any afterhours place Toronto has. |

yeah, it's the most comprehensive afters since you will hear techno and trance there too, no more hiphop room. Very nice club.. bit too hot at times but yeah, Montreal should be so spoiled. Poor Toronto :p |
