Hey all. Going to be brewing my first high-gravity (1.100) double IPA next week, and wanted some ideas about what yeasts to use.

Zyklon Jay's mother's yeast is a good one. Very, very potent.

There is a 120 minute, but it costs like $15 for a 4-pack.

I've had all three, and definitely like the 90 the best out of them.

Bit more than that...I bought a 4 pack from the brewery in DE about 18 months ago and it was somewhere between $30 and $40.

The 60min IPA is a good session beer, the 90 is great but not really one you can drink all night, although if I was at a bar I'd choose it over the 60 everytime. The 120 is more of a taster...

^yeah true. i think in a store you probably saw $15 for the 12oz bottle.
i've seen the 90 for $12 for the four-pack.

A 4 pack is $15-20 here.

Of 120min IPA? I don't want to be a dick but either you're mistaken or that's a pricing error at your store. It's about that for on bottle at anywhere I've seen it for sale.

LAdazeNYnights
yeah...from the dogfish head forums here: http://www.dogfish.com/forums/the-b...-minute-ipa.htm

somebody noted 7+tax as the lowest price for a bottle..$30 at brewery for the 4pack

i can't imagine it selling at cheaper than that anywhere...
in stores i've only ever seen bottles...and i've seen em priced anywhere between 9 and 15 bucks.
so if you're really getting em at 15 a 4pack i might have to drive up and buy a case or 2.
ChemEnhanced
probably my favorite IPA

is sink the bismark from brewdog any good? If so I might hunt it down just to try it.

Isn't it all dependent upon taste? I've tried some beers that are around 20% ABV and they all tasted broadly similar...at 41%, well, wow, I'm keen to try it nevertheless!
