pro salons are wayyy better. luckily we get discounts.
the master stylists here charge $40 more or so. They are good, but I have found a wayy better one that is not a 'master' just yet.
head massages alone make it worth it! |

I have a conundrum on my hands. I got a haircut while on vaca and everyone liked it better than my regular barber back home. now what?
btw, +1 with the hot girls cutting your hair but i'd rather pay less and get my haircut more frequent. |

| I have only ever met one girl who cut my hair in a way that I liked right away. Then I slept with her and it got weird, so I have doomed myself to hating my haircut for at least a week by other people. |

| My brother pays 60 canadian monopoly money thingies for his hair cut. I pay the equiv of $7.60 and you know what? we come out with nigh on identical cuts. Having said that, mine is done by my uncles niece on his other side of the family who is highly trained & until she had her daughter had her own salon and now runs a small one from home, so she's got the skills, I just get the family prices :D |

That's why you need to go to a salon to get your hair cut, and ask for a senior level stylist. |
I'm not spending that kind of money. I get my hair cut every 6-10 weeks, so the cost would rack up very quickly. When I was at university I used to go to the local market and get my hair cut for £3. They would cut it really fast and generic, but looking back at photos they were some of the best hair cuts I've had. |

| Why haven't anyone mentioned psychology? I bet it's got something to do with how you've gotten used to an appearance and something instinctive telling you to dislike changes in it. Then you get used to it again and it's all good. I can't think of any explanation your mind would do this, but I'm so hung over my brain doesn't want to work. You figure it out. |

100 bucks? Lol. My bf pays 40, including tip, for a cut by a master stylist (who also happens to be my stylist, who also happens to be one of the best in Canada :o ). |
To me that seems completely unnecessary. The difference between a good male cut and a bad male cut is a lot smaller than for females. Apart from that, forty bucks.... I used to bitch at my hairdresser for charging me $20.
I don't hate fresh haircuts too much, but the same thing definitely applies to my shoes purchases. I always hate the new pair for the first month and think that the previous pair was the best ever. Cycle repeats.
I more so have trouble with the style. As montana said, I've pretty much had the same haircut my entire life. I wanted to change it up a while ago, and furious googling for examples to show the hairdresser only bought up pictures of horrible cuts on douchey celebrities like Nick Lachey and David Beckham. Also I'm too lazy/not faggy enough to do my hair regularly anyway. Last time I used product was about ten years ago, I think. |
