What a night! Brad Miller threw down a stellar opening set. Perfect track selection. Around 1:30am Sasha gets on, for the first two hours he played all progressive house. I looked up around 3AM and looked into sashas eyes, wow Ive never seen him that focused. From 3 - to around 6am, sasha turned us upside down and just brought his style of music. This was hands down one of the top sets I have heard him spin in the last 10 years!
Props to Rory, Ruby Riva, Xpand3r, Phazon (Dennis), Fran, Adam, Ay Star (thanks for watching my back - good looking out :D ) LAdazeNYnights, Bobby Bolker, Ted Shin, Chung, Brad Miller, Trunks, Enigma T, and the rest of of my peoples! It was great seeing you all out last night. Felt like old times again.
note: what happened to pachas sound system? I swear i felt like I was in twilo with the phazons. Nice job Pacha - the sound was amazing.
...... Calderone came on around 6 am. I stayed for about an hour, His mixing was flawless and his beats sounded like the old calderone from back in Crobar Days.- Calderone was good.

sorry we left "early" ! my stomach was turning a bit and my friend was really tired
so first order of business - damn i'm still so tired..and my legs are killing me. sasha had me movin' and groovin' the whole night.
was nice to meet a couple more TAs. saw brad but didn't have a chance to say what's up (you warmed the decks up perfectly man...can't tell you how many times i've been to a party where you can tell when the headliner comes on just by how much better the music is...wasn't like that at all, i wasn't payign attention to who was on the decks and didn't even realize you got off em until i looked up there). got to the meetup a bit early, didn't see anybody for 10 min or so- said what's up with a couple familiar faces, met pyro who was totally awesome, and i met some of the old school TAs. the only one whose name i really remember is trunks..shot the with him for a while- really nice guy! in fact, all the old school guys i talked to were really friendly - shame you all don't go out so much anymore ! was nice meeting rory too - i didn't really kno what to say cuz i had something i wanted to tell him and kept forgetting...but i wanted to say that the saint x track on prague 11 is great!
and on to sasha -- what a set! my friends and i were laughing because earlier in the set he had this look on his face that we read as total disdain but i later realized that it was determination to explode some ppls heads. energy in the place was really great...i was sad when he got off and i realized that he hadn't played ruhe, i couldn't bring myself to try to request it :tongue2 maybe it's a good thing tho- my friends would've had to carry me out of there, off of the floor, if he dropped it.
can anybody id the track in the 2nd video pyro posted? i know that track..but couldn't put my finger on it. was great to hear it tho
i enjoyed calderone too but he's not quite my style. his build ups are sickk, yeah, but idk i think he abuses that fog-steam-sound lol...when i hear 4 or 5 build ups in a row that all culminate w/ the exact same thing for a moment it gets kinda eh for me. but still, he was playign some great tunes. overall sasha was better for me
even my friends LOVED sasha, and they don't really go to EDM events...i've taken them to trance events before and they'll have a good time but never comment on music really. all day i've heard "we LOVED the music last night" :eyespop:
my best night out of the year so far, no doubt. :D

..it was so funny i remember at one point last night oz gave me 20 bucks to get us a drink. i just stood there and totally zoned out, then 1 minute later i said "hey oz, i don't have any money. could you give me some to get us a drink" and he didn't say anything, just handed me another 20. got us a drink, came back....15 min later i realiezd what i had done and felt like such an idiot, explained and apologized over and over again hahahaha :haha:
oh and on top of all that--i had texted my german girl around midnight to say i wish she coulda come...she sent me a couple texts back in the morning as we were leaving. i was elated. :tongue2
idk what i forgot. but anyway wheeee :eyespop: :eyespop: good times :D
