i like some results i've gotten from it so far, haven't gotten too in depth with it but so far it's pretty nice

This is the sort of thing I'm talking about. This sort of thing's just so common with hip hop producers.
"people like me, coming from hardware are just looking for some good sounds out of the box. I don't feel like I'm trying to learn eiroglyphics or some crazy stuff." & "There's no need to make sounds, you can just go in and grab presets. The synth already has some dope sounds in it by itself." Wat.
J.L.
I find nothing wrong with people just wanting to get into music without worrying endlessly about synth settings.
If you can make a great track with just presets, then kudos to you.
I personally like to learn everything a bit at a time, balancing creativity, technical skill, musical skill, mixing, mastering, etc... since people only care about the overall quality of the music, not how good of a synth programmer, or how creative you are, or how well you can create a mixdown

dude. lots of synths, hardware or soft have some incredible presets that can just be used without fussing over changes. there is nothing wrong with using presets. of course, this doesn't work for every situation, but you can't rag on presets

I wasn't ragging on presets, that wasn't the point.
I was ragging on some guy whose idea of a product demo is showing viewers where the file menu is.
of course it's nothing too spectacular, but it's fun to work on
LoveHate
is there a demo?

not sure if it has to do with being from the ghetto or relishing the ghetto mentality ie being stupid but rap producers are morons. Those youtube videos are always a good time. Until they starat valuing education that extends past loading a clip into a glock, they will keep sucking with technology based production.

i cant watch without boiling over. want to smack them in the head and say go back to school you fool.

Dunno about that... They usually speak well and seem quite intelligent, I don't really think that's what its about. They just have a bit of a strange production practise, and their videos are really targetted at the lowest common denominator.
