I felt like the guy doing the voice-over was gonna put his hand on my knee and start talking about how he wanted to take some pictures of me without my shirt in his basement, but yeah - you should get it. |

:haha:
Razor looks cool. The ambient dudes are going to love it - looks like a nice software alternative to the K5000. |

I wish they'd release some new synths rather than bringing out presets for their current gear. (Which, incidentally hasn't been refreshed since 2005 and is woefully CPU hungry). |

As I said on another forum I'm on....
It seems that, based upon that "commercial" and the demo sounds on NIs website that its designed for proggy electro house and dubstep sounds....ie catering to the Deadmau5 and Skrillex wannabees. I'm sure it has potential to be used for other genres, and I understand NI is a company that needs to make money, but this just seems like a cash-in product for the aforementioned Mau5trap sackriders. |

The filters look pretty cool, though I'm not sure it's worth dropping money on if you have a good collection of synths. |

Or, maybe it's an instrument designed for additive synthesis, which precedes proggy blah blah blah by many centuries, and will survive it by many more. ;) |

I just want to take a moment to reiterate the fact that this guy sounds like a child molester or some kind of audio-book dropout. I can't even focus on this. EVERYTHING, is... over emphasized AND... seems to be edited... heavily resulting in this unnatural broken sounding dramatization of the human voice. I'm not 3 years old, narrate like a man. I think someone reviewing professional audio software should be sensitive enough to sound to notice they come off like an effeminate AA counselor.
Also they should have compressed it more, I was having a hard time hearing the spit rattle all the way down in the larynx. |

I'm pretty tired of subtractive synthesis, and this seems like something new and fresh for me. An attractive and easy interface is always a plus. It sounds completely different than most of what's out there. |
