Oh come on people, don't say u expected Trance from this guy on such event. Everyone wants to aim to as many people on stage, not to commenting people online, and as I'm hearing from stream, crowd is really enjoying this set because they are most important. |

set pretty good.. i must admit myself... i do agree with Darren views on how he is pushed in ranking.. i didnt like emery post 2009
but seems he build more of a habbit in DJing..
i see some more technical performance boost from him after listening to this set |

That is maybe it on here all of us actually care about what is a dying scene to this sort of sound. Look at how above and beyond have changed its all to caves to a mass audience but no one can tell me this stuff is better than proper big room trance.
Armin at least gets kudos for staying true to the essence of that by still playing proper trance. But he should also be criticised for pushing this sound as much anyone on the radio show |

It's not indeed but I wouldn't stand listening to proper big-room trance for 12 hours. It's just wrong. |

Nail on the head. :)
And that's why it was so pleasing to hear Armin play a set as good as he did in Johannesburg last Saturday night.
There's absolutely no way you should be able to sit down and listen to a set, and be able to predict practically the entire playlist before the first beat has been dropped.
Odds on him finishing with On a Metropolis Day and / or This is Silence? |
